Show season is over… now what? 🍂

Fall is one of my favourite times for bodywork maintenance.

We ask a lot of our horses during show season, and sometimes there are little things we notice but don’t have the time..or opportunity, to really work through.

The change of season gives us a chance to slow down, assess, and work on those little areas that may have built up throughout the season.

Sometimes, the real maintenance starts when the show season ends.

I have been a client of Reille for approx 5 years. I show competitively in Working Cowhorse and Team penning.

My experiences have always been incredible with Reille. She is very knowledgeable, kind, intuitive and patient with my horses. I notice my horses are much more relaxed and feel much better after a treatment.

Reille, tailors my horses treatment to the specific horse. She is very thorough in her assessment of each horse. I am always amazed by her assessment skills and how improved my horse feel after her body work.

I highly recommend her services to anyone wanting to support their horses health and wellbeing

The nights are getting chilly and the ponies are starting to fluff! 🍂

I’ve gotten to meet so many new faces lately, along with some familiar ones from years ago. It’s been so lovely reconnecting, loving on your horses, and meeting some new souls. ❤️

Acreage people, if you’re thinking about booking a fall session, reach out sooner rather than later so we can plan around those warmer days!

I can’t wait to see you all.

Also, it’s my favourite season… my brown coat season ! Ah the simple pleasures 😂🤎

I want to see you succeed. ❤️

Whatever that looks like for you.

I want to see you win the class, get your first red ribbon, hit a personal goal, or simply have a really good ride.

The horse industry has some dark corners. Between sports, between barns, and sometimes between people who should be cheering each other on.

There’s a difference between being competitive and being straight up sh*tty.

I don’t care what breed you ride, what discipline you do, or what level you’re at.

If you love your horse and you’re out there trying, I’m in your corner.

I want to see my clients happy, healthy, and successful. And I’ll happily be your cheerleader along the way.

Because there’s room for all of us to do well. 🐴❤️

I never want to become too good for the horse that got me here. ❤️

I absolutely love working with horses at the top of their sport. Sometimes I still can’t believe I’ve made it to what feels like such a cool peak in my career.

But in my heart, I still want to be the person little-girl Reille would have wanted caring for her wonderfully ordinary, sometimes rotten horse. 😂

It was the years of working my way through barns, learning from coaches, trainers and horse people, getting my hands dirty and figuring things out that gave me the skills to become the bodyworker I am today.

Those same lessons gave me the foundation to build the horse of my dreams from a yearling onward. ❤️

So whether your horse is a top athlete or your wonderfully ordinary best friend…

I see you. I’m one of you.

Can AI do this? 🤖

Because I’m pretty sure AI can’t make a horse yawn like THAT. 😂🐴

I’ll keep my job for now. 😉

" I highly recommend Reille for her equine massages. I have been working with Reille for over 6 years and love the difference she makes for my horses. Brie loves her ‘auntie’!

Reille is straight forward and honest. She also works well alongside other professionals in the industry.

If you are looking for a kind, knowledgeable equine massage therapist, Reille is the best! "

I don’t care what you do with your horse.

Seriously.

Just because my focus is performance horses doesn’t mean I only work with performance horses. Discipline doesn’t matter to me. I don’t care what saddle you ride in, how often you ride, or hell if you ride at all.

Maybe you’re a mom of three who gets a couple hours at the barn each week because it’s the one part of yourself you’re determined to keep alive.

Maybe you compete every weekend.

Maybe you trail ride once a month.

Maybe your horse is retired and your biggest goal is keeping them comfortable and happy.

I don’t care what your tack cost. I care that it fits well enough to keep your horse comfortable and you safe. And if you don’t know if it does? Let me help.

I don’t care if your horse cost $100,000 or $1.

They all get the same level of care, the same attention, and the same respect.

What matters to me is that you’re doing your best with the information, resources and skills you have and that you genuinely care about your horse.

There’s no judgment here.

Just horses, their people, and helping both feel a little better. 🤍

Saddle Thoughts 💭

Something I've been thinking about .. good communication between the different professionals involved in a horse's care.

Massage therapists, chiropractors, vets, farriers, saddle fitters, trainers… we all have different roles, and I think there is so much value in being able to communicate and share what we're seeing.

If I work on a horse who also sees another professional, I like to share what I found and what I worked on. Not because I need someone else to tell me what to do, but because sometimes another set of eyes can be helpful.

At the end of the day, we're all working toward the same thing .. helping the horse feel and perform their best.

We all have something to bring to the table, we can always communicate, learn and keep the horse at the centre of it. ❤️

Just a little thought from me today.

August has been a busy one! Horse prep for Dressage/Jumper shows & Arabian Nationals, swag orders for the shows, and a 16-horse trip to Calgary. 😅

I’m happy to be back home, look a little breather, and getting my own horse ready for our September show — YAY, WE ARE SOUND AGAIN! 🙌

I didn’t overbook the end of August because I wasn’t sure what life would look like, which means I actually have weekend availability (a rarity around here!).

I’m back at it! Schedule below shows the locations I’ll be in and general availability. Message me to get your horse on the books. 🐴 780 660 7345
