Day 1 was a good one !
Today was all about measurements, resourcefulness and learning how to use what’s around us in the outdoors.
We had an amazing facilitator join us today to introduce the kids to measurements, resourcefulness, and some pretty useful outdoor skills.
They learned how you might measure things if you needed to build a quick shelter, make a simple bridge, or solve a problem without having all the usual tools nearby.
Then it was time to actually try it! In teams, the kids headed out into the pastures, gathered sticks and natural materials, and experimented with using their feet, hands, and whatever else they could find to measure.
So much teamwork, problem-solving, creativity and laughter along the way.
And after all that thinking, building and exploring, there was only one sensible way to cool off… straight into the river!
Best part of camp for me? Getting to co-create something so special for these kids alongside my best friend and fellow therapist Pegáh Pishkohani
