Meet Pamela, one of the incredible volunteers helping make Bennett Centre feel like home.

For the past 7 years, Pamela has been generously sharing her time, kindness, and heart with our residents. Whether she’s helping with bingo, the men’s breakfast, organizing Christmas donations, labelling residents’ clothing (no small task!), or simply speaking time visiting, Pamela is always ready to lend a helping hand.

It’s volunteers like Pamela who remind us that the smallest acts of kindness often make the biggest difference. A conversation. A smile. A familiar face. This is what we are so proud of at Bennett Village.

Pamela, thank you for your unwavering dedication, compassion, and the countless ways you’ve enriched the lives of our residents over the past seven years. We are so grateful to have you as part of our Bennett family!

Different Cultures, one team 💙. At Bennett Village, our team brings together people from many different backgrounds, cultures, and traditions. It’s one of the things that makes our community so special!

With a little extra inspo from the World Cup and seeing soccer (football) fans from around the world coming together, recently our staff came together to celebrate our diversity. By sharing a potluck lunch of favourite family recipes and wearing their favourite clothing celebrating their culture, it was a chance to learn from one another, celebrate our differences, and strengthen the friendships that make our team so welcoming and supportive.

When people feel seen, valued, and celebrated, everyone benefits, and that energy flows over into serving our residents and families everyday. Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun and shared a little piece of their culture with all of us!

Lunch is always better with good company! There was plenty to smile about during our recent outing to Swiss Chalet right here in Georgetown. Our residents enjoyed a delicious lunch, a chat with friends, and time together outside of Bennett Centre, showing how so many of life’s best moments are spent around a table.

As you can imagine, an outing like this takes a little extra planning, coordination, and patience, but it is so worth it. From transportation and mobility support to making sure each person feels comfortable, these special days happen because of our wonderful team.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make this outing possible, your care and commitment helped create lovely memories for all of us!

Our Resident artist William recently presented Cst. Torry Wentzell of the Halton Region Police Service with “Patches”, the HRPS friendly mascot. William has made several cardboard crafts which he’s donated all over , have you seen them?
We thank Cst. Wentzell for stopping by to pick up Patches and take him to his new home in the new HRPS station.
Creativity is so important to our residents, whether they enjoy keeping up with hobbies they’ve always had, or are finding new ones, we are here to support them.
