Yesterday, our residents set sail for a wonderful afternoon aboard the Grand River Dining Cruise!

We enjoyed a delicious meal while cruising along the Grand River, taking in the beautiful scenery, enjoying great conversation, and sharing lots of laughs along the way. 🥂💙

It was the perfect combination of good food, beautiful views, and even better company! We’re so glad we could spend the day making memories together. 🥰

🍻🥨 Oktoberfest Week is underway at Edgewater! 🇩🇪

Did you know Oktoberfest actually begins in September, not October? The original Oktoberfest in Munich traditionally runs from mid-September into early October — so we’re right on schedule! 🎉

Today, our residents enjoyed an Oktoberfest Pretzel Bar, featuring both sweet and savoury pretzels, along with delicious toppings and dips to enjoy. 🥨❤️

And the fun doesn’t stop there! Every day this week, we’ll be celebrating with Oktoberfest-themed programs, activities and treats!

🎭✨ A Day in Niagara-on-the-Lake! ✨🎭

Today, we took a wonderful trip to Niagara-on-the-Lake for a day filled with good food, great company, and a fantastic show!

Our day began with a stop at Picard’s Peanuts, where residents had the chance to browse and pick up some goodies. 🥜 Then, we enjoyed a delicious lunch at The Farmhouse Café before heading to the Shaw Festival Theatre to watch Funny Girl! 🎶🎭

It was the perfect day for a little getaway, and we had so much fun enjoying the sights, laughs, and entertainment together! ❤️

✈️🇨🇦 A Day of History & Good Food! 🇨🇦🍽️

Today, our residents enjoyed a wonderful outing to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum! We had the chance to explore incredible aircrafts, learn about Canada’s aviation and military history, and take in all the fascinating displays. ✈️

Afterward, we headed over to Ye Olde Squire for a delicious lunch and some great conversation! 🍴😊

It was a fantastic day filled with history, laughter, good food, and even better company! ❤️

Happy Self-Care Day from Edgewater Senior Living! 💚☀️

Today was all about staying active, enjoying the outdoors, and taking time to appreciate the simple things.

We started the morning with a special Strength & Balance Exercise Class, followed by our Wellness Walk & Seek Walking Club at Dominion Gardens. From there, we headed to a beautiful local Georgetown park, where residents enjoyed a relaxing picnic lunch together before spending the afternoon strolling through the park, soaking up the sunshine, fresh air, and wonderful company.

A day filled with movement, laughter, friendship, and wellness—because taking care of ourselves is always worth celebrating! 🌿🚶‍♀️🧺💚

🍦 Yesterday was a sweet day at Edgewater! ☀️

Our residents enjoyed a special visit from the ice cream truck, where they had the chance to choose from a variety of delicious treats, including ice cream cones, sundaes, slushies, and popsicles!

It was wonderful to see everyone spending time together, sharing laughs, and enjoying a refreshing treat on a beautiful summer day. Moments like these are what make summer so special, and we’re so happy we could bring a little extra joy to our residents.

There’s nothing better than the taste of summer! ☀️🍫🔥

Today, our residents enjoyed baking delicious S’mores Cookie Bars—a sweet treat packed with gooey marshmallows, melted chocolate, and a buttery cookie base. The kitchen was filled with wonderful aromas, laughter, and plenty of smiles as everyone helped create this campfire-inspired favourite.

Of course, the best part was getting to enjoy them together afterward! ❤️

Today we enjoyed a lovely outing to the Boathouse Tea Room in Guelph for a traditional High Tea experience! Residents delighted in a beautiful selection of teas, finger sandwiches, fresh scones, and sweet treats while enjoying the charming atmosphere and wonderful company.
