Your body is constantly adapting to stress - physical, emotional, and chemical.

Coach Mercedes and I talk about how training is a valuable stressor. Pushing yourself hard can help you grow stronger, but you don’t need to redline every workout to make progress.

Some workouts are going to be an RPE of 10 (all out) while most of the time you will operate consistently around an RPE of 8.

Also, don’t forget that you have to move to create energy. So simply by showing up and moving you can help yourself create more energy for the day.

And some days, the win is simply showing up, moving your body, and doing what you can.

That matters even more (consistency is key) when you’re a busy parent managing work, family, sleep, and everything else life brings.

Train hard and stay consistent - keep the momentum going.

Coach Mercedes shares about month three of her postpartum health and fitness journey. She shares what she worked on at month 3 as she gradually rebuilt strength and momentum...

One important reminder: if you want better postpartum recovery, start building your health before pregnancy. Train consistently, learn how your body moves, and understand what your strength and fitness baseline feels like.

Then, if you decide to have a baby, you have something to work back toward - without rushing or comparing yourself to anyone else.

Every stage looks different. Start where you are, move forward gradually, and celebrate the progress along the way.

It’s easy to forget the power of the simple things.

Remember - your body was designed to heal, adapt, and thrive - but it needs the right inputs to do that.

Coach Mercedes and I talk about a few simple habits that can make a big difference in your energy levels: start your morning by hydrating, get outside for a few minutes of natural sunlight, and move your body, even if it’s just a short walk.

Consistently giving your body what it needs helps create more energy, better resilience, and a healthier, more capable you.

Month two postpartum looks different for everyone, and that’s okay.

Coach Mercedes and I wanted to share what she has been working on during this stage of her recovery to encourage other moms that movement still matters. The goal isn’t to rush back or compare yourself to someone else. It’s to gradually rebuild your foundation with movements that are appropriate for where you’re at.

Every walk, every breath, and every small strength exercise is a step forward. Recovery is a process, and consistency beats perfection every time.

Of course, regular corrective Chiropractic care has been a part of Coach Mercedes, health, performance and recovery routine as well.

To all the moms out there: keep moving, trust the process, and celebrate the small wins. They add up more than you think, and your future self will thank you.
