Today’s RVT Spotlight: Sheila

Get to know Sheila a little better!:

I’m one of the Registered Veterinary Technicians at Mountainview Animal Hospital. I worked for many years as an RVT before taking some time away to raise our daughter, and I feel very fortunate to have returned to the veterinary field as part of such a fantastic team at Mountainview.
Over the years, I’ve developed a special interest in senior pet care and anesthesia.
At home, I share life with my husband Mark, our daughter Jess, our dog Ellie, and our cat Nemo.
I look forward to helping provide great care for your pets!

Today is officially our 25th birthday!

With Thanksgiving weekend here, it also feels like the perfect time to reflect on just how much we have to be thankful for.

For 25 years, we’ve had so much to be thankful for, the wonderful clients who have supported us, the pets we’ve had the privilege of caring for, and the families who have trusted us along the way.

From those who have been with us for years to those who have only recently joined the Mountainview family, thank you for being part of our story.

Thanksgiving weekend is almost here!

A few important reminders to help keep your pets safe:

- Keep all bones away from pets
- Avoid fatty foods, gravy and table scraps
- Keep onions, garlic, grapes, raisins and chocolate away
- Keep alcohol and desserts containing xylitol out of reach
- Secure garbage and food scraps
- Watch doors and gates when guests are coming and going
- Give nervous pets a quiet space away from the festivities

A little planning can help keep everyone happy and healthy this Thanksgiving weekend.
