We're only six months into our capital campaign and we’re officially halfway to our campaign goal!

Thanks to the incredible support of our community, we’ve actually surpassed the half-way mark and are well on our way to our $6,500,000 fundraising goal. Every donation, third-party event, social share, and word of encouragement has helped move us closer to bringing an MRI to Huron County.

This milestone reminds us what’s possible when people come together around a shared goal. A huge thank you for the support!

Gifts of publicly traded stocks or securities can offer significant tax advantages while making a meaningful contribution to the campaign. Donations of publicly traded securities may eliminate capital gains tax and qualify for a charitable tax receipt at fair market value. Receipts issued in accordance with CRA guidelines.

We were delighted to join members of Central Huron council and residents at Mayor's Mingle in the lovely Sloman Park earlier this week.

Our municipalities community recently presented the Magnetic Moments campaign to the council and were over the moon when they decided to lead the way in providing municipal funding in the amount of $250,000 to bring an MRI to Huron County.

Kimberley Payne, executive director of the AMGH Foundation, shared, "What most people don’t realize is that hospital foundations cover the costs of any hospital equipment over $1,000 with funds raised by the community rather than the ministry. The $6,500,000 required to purchase and install the MRI machine here in Goderich is no exception.”

Funding for the donation comes from the Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO) grant Central Huron received for being part of the Deep Geological Repository selection process. The grant was given with the stated purpose that it be used for betterment of the community.
