Why are self endorsements important? Because they can help offset the bombardment of negativity that exists in everyday life.

Since 2020, I’ve supported individuals and families through Red Roof Recovery (RRR) - to overcome/manage mental health & addiction illnesses.

In 2025, the mission evolved with the launch of Mental Health Fitness Alliance (MHFA) - a training division focused on building resilience, reducing stigma, and shifting the conversation from illness to wellness.

Just as we invest in physical fitness to strengthen muscles and endurance in our bodies, we can develop the same qualities in our minds.

Mental fitness equips us to handle stress, adapt to change, and navigate challenges with greater confidence and clarity.

People, circumstances, events, situations ~ they are there as reminders, triggers, or keys to unlock a door that brings greater awareness.

My Philosopher Dad always used to say, “Life is a tough teacher,
because we always get the test before the lesson!”

Have you noticed that life often brings us the same disappointments, the same relationship pains, the same emotional triggers?

Patterns in life tend to repeat themselves, because we haven’t learned the lesson yet.

Think of it as scientific “cause-and-effect. When the same causes are present, the same results appear.

When nothing changes inside, nothing changes outside.

Buddhist teachings tell us that suffering continues because of our habitual reactions and our unexamined attachments.
• We choose the familiar, even when it hurts.
• We react the same way, expecting a different outcome.
• We cling to what feels safe instead of what is wise.

The moment we can become aware is the moment we can weaken this cycle...
the moment you pause instead of react.

The moment you choose clarity over conditioning... the moment you respond with wisdom instead of habit.

That is where growth begins.

We don’t break patterns by fighting them. We break them by seeing them clearly.
When the lesson is learned, the pattern dissolves.

When the mind changes, life follows.
So don’t ask “Why me?” Instead, ask, “What is this trying to teach me?”

Because once the lesson is learned, life moves you forward on a path of freedom.
