🌟 Please welcome Katie Gertsch to our team! 🌟

We are beyond thrilled that this longtime Golden Gem has chosen Unravel as the safe haven for her exciting new chapter in massage therapy.

Katie is finishing up her second year of massage training and is ready to start working with the community — offering student massage at a discounted rate on Thursday evenings and Saturday daytimes. Her summer schedule is now live!

Once she graduates, Katie plans to challenge the board certification exams to earn her RMT designation in BC.

What makes Katie such a natural fit here? Her approach to care lines up beautifully with what we stand for at Unravel: to feel safe, to feel heard, to feel supported. She's warm, genuine, grounded, and sharp as a whip — we can already tell she's going to be an incredible RMT and a true asset to this team.

We’re looking for a Registered Massage Therapist to join our team on a short-term locum this spring!

Available shifts:
• Tuesdays & Wednesdays
• Saturday mornings
• Sunday evenings (optional/add-on)

✨ Meet Dr. Viviane Girard ✨

Mountain enthusiast, body nerd, the gentle slow crafty type! She took a few years off of practicing Chiropractics to plant trees and work in backcountry lodges. She is humble and grounded, and also smart as a whip, and nerdy just like the rest of us! We are so happy she chose to join us at Unravel!
What inspired you to become a chiropractor?
A deep fascination with how intelligently the body is designed to heal — and the power of hands-on care to restore confidence, not just reduce pain.
Favourite area to treat?
Headaches and migraines. When there’s a musculoskeletal component, they can respond beautifully to care. Watching someone walk in hurting and leave already feeling relief? That’s the kind of impact she lives for.
What surprises people about you?
She genuinely geeks out over anatomy and biomechanics. Every case is a puzzle, and her curious brain won’t stop connecting the dots until it makes sense.
How do you reset?
Mountains. Climbing. Hiking. Journaling. Baking. Knitting.
Anything that brings her back into her body.
