September 30 marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
This day is set aside to honor the children who never came home from residential schools, the survivors who carry those experiences, and the families and communities still healing.
At ReNEWell Care, we're pausing to reflect and to keep learning. Reconciliation isn't a single day. It's an ongoing commitment to listening, understanding, and doing better.
If you're looking for ways to mark the day, consider wearing orange, reading a survivor's story, or supporting Indigenous-led organizations in your community.
We're grateful to live and work in Grand Forks, and we recognize the importance of honoring the land's history and the people who called it home long before us.
