What a great group we had for our 6 week Beginner Watercolour course at the Watson Art Centre 💛

One of my favourite things about weekly classes are the bonds that form between participants. By the 6th week, we all feel like we know each other, and get to learn fun little tidbits about each others' personalities & lives.

Our final class last night was bittersweet. I loved witnessing the growth and confidence in painting of the participants.. but I'll miss seeing everyone on Wednesday evenings!

The lovely art displays at the Grandview School ✨️ Last month, I had the opportunity to be the "Artist in the School" and hang out with Grades K-8 for a week. We made a lot of art and had a lot of fun! Thank you to the GV School for having me 👏

How are we already halfway through our Beginner Watercolour Course at the Watson Art Centre?! The last 3 weeks have flown by. We've learned basic watercolour techniques, colour mixing, all about painting leaves and wreaths, and last night we practiced our patterns, vases, flowers and plants. What a fun and lovely group 💐 Looking forward to painting fruit next week!

Okay, these awards are my fave thing to make lately! Especially with a group of friends 👏 These are crafty ribbons you can make for yourself or a pal. I think I'm going to put magnets on the backs of mine and put them on the fridge. What would you write on yours?

I had the special opportunity to make art with the K-8 students at the Grandview school last week 🌈 So many fun & colourful projects were done! These ones were made by the Grade 4 students. We used tempera paint sticks for our backgrounds, and then dabbed on acrylic paint with q-tips for our second layers 💛

$160 for the week or $35 per day
materials included
students are asked to bring their own lunch

Oil pastel transfers with these lovely humans 🦋 Our adult art classes are a great way to meet new people and try out creative endeavors in a supportive and encouraging space.

We've had a great time making art and visiting at the Dauphin Neighbourhood Renewal Community Centre. Hard to believe we've been having classes here for almost a year now! We meet every two weeks - let me know if you'd like to join us for some feel-good art time ✨️
