I’m putting the last 12 months of self work into an 8 week guide- my lucky family gets to be the practice group 😎✨🩷

It’s for everyone who finds themselves sliding into auto pilot, or possibly even held down by burnout or fatigue.
I’m not interested in falling victim to effects of long term stress. I want my kids to learn now that they can manage themselves well if they pay attention.

Excited to see where it goes- I’ll share my weekly plan after the vision board goes up 😉

We gonna be starting this summer with intention over here-

Is it a yoga teacher thing to feel relief sitting on the floor for coffee?
I wish I made more of a habit of moving how I used to. Things that once felt second nature to me are now a little different. AND IT SHOWS (Looking at you low back pain and poor posture 👀)

I’m putting myself back on the basics for the next 6 weeks. Beginner series here I come 🤓

If you want a home practice cheat sheet to follow along to let me know, it’s always better with accountability friends

Applying the “simple rule” to things off the mat too. Finding a good middle ground here. Maybe you can give it a try too?

Diary of Recovery.. part 1:
Memes as medicine, sauna chronicles, noticing the spark come back to my eyes (some days), and making a commitment week over week that TRYING is enough.

We’ve normalized exhaustion to the point of sickness. Or at least I DID before being brought to my knees with capital B Burnout. I don’t know about you, but I’m not interested in learning what my body can survive through my disconnection. I’m going to be a well and rested woman, mark my words 😉😏

Part 2 “the rebuild chapter” coming soon…

Days when I have time for the long practices? The best.
Routines might be slightly disrupted this week but I’m working with the conditions ☀️ 😉

Highly suggest 5 minutes with your eyes closed and the sun on your face for an instant boost!

Saturday Mission: Amplify Kindness.

I had a very extroverted week. It was made easier by the many friendly, helpful people I had a chance to interact with ❤️

This weekend I hope to be one of the friendly, helpful people out in the world. Never know how much it can help the stranger across from you 🙏🏻🙏🏻

The guiding force of the last 6 months for me was the question, “what does it take to be well?”

The previous 3 years to this journey were spent compartmentalizing. Doing my best to separate how I felt with how I moved through every full day. Life was asking a lot. Turns out that was a recipe for nervous system disaster. 0/10 do not recommend.

A common thought the last few years was to just “deal with the 24 hours ahead of me”. The problem with that is you’re locked in survival state. Relearning how to lift my gaze to something in the future, trusting that plans could actually unfold that way? 😮‍💨 let’s just say it’s good I wasn’t looking for a quick turn around. There’s a long game to recovery that I wish more people understood.

It’s been a humbling privilege to have the opportunity to revive my health the way I have.
To be able to stop, breathe. Actually allow myself to feel what was happening and what to do. Returning to the things I know I love. Not withdrawing into myself anymore…. The list could go on and on.

Yoga does not heal everything. It does provide groundwork for understanding- for seeing what we need and how to get there. Turns out it takes a lot for me to be well, but it’s worth the work.

For all the humans I know that may feel disconnected lately - from themselves or how they feel- I see you doing your best! Keep going 🙏🏻🩶
