What a delicious way to close out summer! ☀️🥩❤️

Last Friday, we celebrated the end of summer with a special Summer Closing Celebration Steak Dinner, lovingly prepared and served by our incredible Dietary Team.

From perfectly cooked steaks to wonderful conversation, laughter, and plenty of smiles, it was an evening filled with good food and even better company. 🥰

A heartfelt thank you to our Dietary Team for making the evening so special for our residents. We’re grateful for the memories we make together! ❤️

🚢☀️ A wonderful day on the water!
Our residents enjoyed a beautiful cruise aboard the Wenonah II, soaking up the sunshine, taking in the scenery, and making memories together. And because we’re lucky enough to call the wharf home, our team had the perfect spot to wave them off as they sailed by! ❤️

It was a wonderful day from start to finish!

🍋 When life gives you lemons… make lemonade! 🍋

Our residents had a refreshing and fun-filled Lemonade Day! ☀️🍋

We gathered together to enjoy a cool glass of lemonade, share some laughs, and put our citrus knowledge to the test with a little lemonade and citrus trivia!

From surprising citrus facts to friendly competition, it was a wonderful afternoon filled with conversation, connection, and plenty of smiles. 💛

Sometimes the simplest gatherings make for the sweetest memories!

🌿🎨 When art sparks conversation, connection follows.

We were delighted to welcome artist Chris Pirie to our home for a special art talk with our residents.

With Chris’s beautiful nature-inspired work currently on display, it was a wonderful opportunity for our residents to learn more about the artist, hear the stories behind the pieces, and share their own observations and memories inspired by the artwork.

These are the moments we treasure — art, conversation, curiosity and connection, all shared together. 💚

We’re honoured to support I’m Still Here at the Gravenhurst Opera House — a powerful play exploring aging, dementia, and the impact of Alzheimer’s on individuals, families, and caregivers.

As a community passionate about memory care, this is a message that resonates deeply with us. We believe that behind every diagnosis is a person with a lifetime of stories, experiences, and memories.

We invite our residents, families, friends, and community to join us for this meaningful production and be part of an important conversation about dementia.

Because even when memories change, the person is still here. ❤️

🥧 When a resident makes a request, we do our best to make it happen!

Shirley had been asking if we could make Maid of Honour Tarts, so today our team gathered the supplies and, with Shirley leading the way, we got baking! ❤️

It’s more than just making delicious treats — it’s about listening to our residents, supporting their wishes, and creating meaningful moments together.
