Sometimes, "spend time in nature" feels like just another thing to add to an already full to-do list.

The good news? It doesn't always have to be.

Instead of finding extra time, consider taking something you're already planning to do... outside.

This morning, I brought my movement practice outdoors. The workout itself didn't change, but the experience did. Fresh air and the simple feeling of being surrounded by nature reminded me that connection doesn't always require more time—sometimes it just asks for a different setting.

I often talk with clients about the importance of micro-moments—those small, intentional moments that help us reconnect with ourselves and the world around us. They may seem simple, but they can have a meaningful impact over time.

Because every micro-moment counts 🌿

Therapy doesn't always have to happen within four walls🌿

Nature Sessions offer the opportunity to step outside the office and into a space where movement, fresh air, and nature become part of the therapeutic process. Whether we're walking a forest trail or sitting quietly in a peaceful outdoor setting, these sessions create room for reflection, connection, and meaningful conversations.

Spending time outdoors can have a meaningful impact on our well-being, and in Northern Ontario we're fortunate to be surrounded by so many opportunities to connect with nature. 🌿

I recently came across this community survey from another organization and thought it may be of interest to those who enjoy spending time outside. Mindful Acres is not affiliated with or involved in this survey, but I'm always happy to share initiatives that encourage people to explore and appreciate our local outdoor spaces.

If you'd like to participate, you can find the survey here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc0bT8HXyc1iPLzjclcIKQsOUUAPuaDNOskMRIV4cZZYq5rMA/viewform?usp=header

The world often encourages us to keep moving.

Nature gently reminds us that there is wisdom in slowing down.

Finding stillness in nature has a way of quieting the noise and bringing me back to what matters most. It reminds me that not everything needs my immediate attention. Sometimes, the most meaningful thing I can do is pause, take a breath, and notice what's around me.

Stillness isn't about doing nothing. It's about creating space to simply be.

How are you finding stillness this weekend? 🤍🌿

There’s something special about spending time outdoors in our community.

This weekend, I had the opportunity to visit the Sudbury Blueberry Festival—a wonderful reminder of how nature and community often go hand in hand. From local vendors and a pie eating contest, to blueberry lemonade and familiar faces, it was a chance to slow down, connect, and appreciate the people and places right here at home.

Spending time outside doesn't always have to mean a long hike or an adventure into the wilderness. Sometimes it's as simple as exploring a local festival, walking through a park, or enjoying a conversation in the fresh air. These small moments can help us feel more grounded and connected.

I hope you're finding time to enjoy everything our Northern summer has to offer. 🤍🫐🌿

A heartfelt thank you to Red Oak Villa - Dalron Senior Living Community and Dalron Senior Living for putting on such a welcoming (and delicious!!) event!
