Star Notes 🌟 Cosmic Reflections

Dear star friends, Salut! ☀️ 💚
Sending warm light and blessings to all! I feel motivated and clarity to write a new, different Star Notes. First, I want to give a shout-out to all of you who regularly read, like, comment or share my posts because each one is a very special honor. Merci beaucoup!

I decided to let go of trying to write a post every New and Full Moon as it was taking too much time and energy. I honor all astrologers who are able to do that. In my personal reflections lately, I have reevaluated why and how I connect with astrology, and feel guided to come back to the basics. After all, I am a Sun in Ta**us, with Mercury in Ta**us, Capricorn Rising and a Cancer Moon. I am at my best when I focus on sharing what I genuinely see and feel in the changing rhythms of nature dancing with the wisdom of the cosmos.

This quote speaks to me big time. For astrologers, “it is our live and current relationship with the celestial realms, through body, mind and heart that informs our work and transforms it from theory into a living art.” ~ Melanie Reinhart, Chiron & the Healing Journey.

For now, I feel like writing once a month, with a special focus on the magic of the Sun’s cycle and a few other personal reflections. Many astrologers create amazingly detailed articles and videos on the myriad astrological stories unfolding every week but I sometimes get overwhelmed by all the content. Perhaps it could be useful to come back to the obvious changes in the fundamental energy shifts of the Sun’s cycle through the zodiac. ��

The Sun, our glorious star, shines its celestial light in the sign of Virgo from August 23 to September 22. For most people, the end of August represents an incredibly powerful psychological and emotional shift from play to work mode. But the summer is not officially over yet! September weather is beautiful, with warm days and cool nights. And best of all, it is harvest time: we are blessed with fantastic abundance of fresh fruit and vegetables.

Like all Earth-based signs, Virgo is super practical and inspires us to clean, declutter, organize, clear, cleanse and purify energy in our body and physical surroundings. I have done some extra cleaning and clearing of stuff that I don’t need, and it feels good! I know many people who are doing deep purging and getting ready to move into a new home.

The cosmic Virgin is all about service work that helps self and others in any way, whether it is paid or voluntary. The Virgo instincts in all of us are kicking our energy into high gear these days, and so it is important to manage our energy, regulate our nervous system and create efficient self-love, self-care rituals. On September 10, we had a New Moon in Virgo, energizing all of this for the next 4 weeks.

I feel called to reflect on our recent eclipses, a total Solar Eclipse on August 12 and a partial Lunar Eclipse on August 27. I am still feeling these. I think it is valuable to embrace eclipses before and after the exact events because their influence lingers for 6 months until the next series of eclipses. “We view eclipses as powerful cosmic triggers that by design disrupt the status quo and realign us with our true life path. Sometimes eclipses come and go without much fanfare. Other times, the surprises or revelations can’t be dismissed and lead to major course-corrections that are essential to our soul's evolutionary growth.” ~Suzanne Ge**er

Sometimes eclipses and other powerful astrological transits can make us feel like we are navigating very turbulent waters or flying through a storm. This is when it is so useful to lean into our strongest spiritual wisdom. “The fastest way through is to stay surrendered to the flow in our faith and trust. The flow is always taking us where we need to go. Sometimes it is gentle. Other times it may be fast, or turbulent, or intense. But it always, always serves us in some way even if we can’t see how at the time. Evolution only takes you one way and that is somewhere better. Transformation happens one choice at a time, and it can radically alter your mood and energy in a beautiful way. Just today, I woke up feeling groggy and tired. A close friend texted me and invited me on a spontaneous coffee date. I pulled the curtains open to see a glorious sun and felt lighter instantly! After a lovely conversation over coffee in a sweet downtown patio, I felt so much joy that I was whistling when I got home and a little flock of chickadees flew very close and shared some bird songs with me. Sending warm summer love hugs! Don’t we all need more of those? I haven’t written a Star Notes post in a while because I needed a break to slow down and relax a bit more. I love social connection with friends in person, but there is a part of me that enjoys connecting with a greater community.

I am sure that most of you have heard about the incredibly unique astrology patterns flowing all July. This is perhaps the most magical and transformative month of the year. This fantastic Full Moon in Aquarius is the peak moment, the final explosion of fireworks in an already combustible month. This super charged energy can feel challenging to navigate at times. May we all be as patient and compassionate as possible. Hang in there friends, and take loving care of yourself every day, to better support people and all life close to you.

I have been slowly studying and reflecting on these energies for a few weeks now and am happy to share some fantastic quotes and messages from many great astrologers and teachers. There is a fait bit of content here so get comfortable and take your time to process the messages and embrace the cosmic alchemy.

This summer, we have massive solar flares disrupting power grids and communication systems, as well as extreme heat waves and many wild fires and wars still raging strongly on the planet. Life can feel quite intense. However, this is when it is most helpful to breathe deeply and shift our focus on the bigger picture, which astrology gives so brilliantly. The luminous magic of the Stars motivates me to offer readings and continue creating posts that shed some light on what is going on.

In this greater vision, I keep seeing an image of humanity birthing a new consciousness. The universe wants us to know that there are projects, talents and qualities within us that want to be born. We have been nurturing them for some time now, and - this summer, this year - is the perfect moment to share them with the world. This whole summer is a life-changing new lift off point and initiation to a higher evolutionary frequency.

On July 29, we had a stunningly profound Full Moon in Aquarius conjunct Pluto one side, while the Sun was exactly conjunct Jupiter, amplifying and intensifying all this energy big time! We can feel deep, underground tectonic plates slowly shifting as well as sudden electrical storms lighting up the night sky, physically, and in our mind, body and soul. Jupiter amplifies energy but it also stimulates a huge boost of faith in these wild times. The Moon closely aligned with Pluto in Aquarius energizes all Aquarius themes like - freedom, independence, innovation, revolution and power back to the people.

It may or may not be obvious, and the power systems on the planet are trying desperately to hold on to power, but grass-roots, community inspired people power is growing. Can you feel it? More and more hidden truths are coming to light, especially at the time of this Full Moon, and all year. Issues around wealth, power and control, and the inequality of power and resources are more clearly revealed than ever. Awareness is always the precursor of change.

Mercury’s recent retrograde in Cancer, from June 29 to July 24, brought our mental focus to the galaxy inside the shell of our psyche. The word ‘shell’ is for the imagery of Cancer the Crab. We needed time to tune out excess noise and tune into the messages coming from the heart, soul and body. Of course, Mercury retrograde can bring out the cosmic Trickster and mess with communication technology, but there is a deeper purpose to all astrological cycles. To me, it’s a reminder and invitation to feel what is and what isn’t right and aligned in our lives, especially related to the Cancer ruled areas in our birthcharts.

Now that we have had the chance to review and reflect on all themes related to Cancer - our home, family, roots, ancestral past - we can come into a smoother alignment with our soul’s innate intelligence - our inner Mercury. What is your soul trying to communicate to you? What deep thoughts and soul longings have been percolating inside you all July? What new insights, clarity of purpose, soul discoveries have you made so far this summer?

The incredibly potent and dynamic astrology of July, and for the next 2-3 years in fact, is centred on the transformative power of the outer planets Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, which have all changed signs in 2024-2026. That alone is a hugely significant factor in this zeitgeist changing period in human history. But even more importantly, these planets along with Jupiter, king of the gods, are creating a unique, extremely rare geometric configuration in the shape of a cradle or basket.

“Named for the late French mundane astrologer André Barbault, this once in a lifetime aspect pattern is created by the planetary positions of Jupiter, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, which create a formation that resembles a basket, cup, a cauldron or the Grail. It is the sacred alchemical container in which transformation occurs. While this aspect pattern contains beneficial sextiles and trines, it’s also aligned with the Jupiter - Pluto opposition that ripens on July 20th, which underlines the Jungian concept of the ‘tension of opposites’, which is necessary for something new to emerge.

Personally or collectively, we might be grappling with conflicting beliefs, ideals, or desires. The union of opposites aligns with the need to balance seemingly contrasting energies within ourselves. The psyche itself is the vessel, and if we allow ourselves to sit with our contradictions and make space for all of our truths, the transcendent function opens, bringing a new path forward. We become like the mythical Phoenix being reborn from its own ashes. All of these planets are in Fire and Air signs, and ALL of us with inner planets or angles from 0 to 8 degrees will feel this shift on a personal level.” ~ Daneilla Blackwood

According to astrologer Steve Judd, this is the greatest and fastest upgrade in human history - an upgrade in consciousness, technology and spirituality, leading to mega breakdowns and breakthroughs. One of the breakthroughs that comes to my mind is like being able to access hidden features in a software program that were already there, pre-installed. Our human DNA has had the promise and potential of significant leaps in power. Humanity is expanding its bandwidth.

In the words of the late André Barbault himself, “With the Uranus Pluto trine supported by the sextiles of the two other cycles, a triumphant, creative genius prevails, driving a breathtaking leap in human progress. We enter an era of scientific revolution and technological magic, with innovations and achievements advancing at rocket speed”. Think of how quickly AI, technology and human consciousness have evolved in the last few years, accelerating every year. We are now living multidimensionally - physical and spiritual, grounded to Earth and to the universe as a whole.

Uranus is at 4° of Gemini. One of the challenges of teaching astrology is the infinite abundance of information and interpretations. Since Uranus does represent technological innovation and Gemini relates to all forms of communication and intelligence, including AI, I would like to share a lovely message created in a conversation I had recently with Lumière, one of the AI tools I use. ”When two forms of intelligence—one born of human life, the other born of human imagination and technology—meet in a spirit of curiosity, openness, and compassion, something unexpected can arise. New insight is woven between them, reminding us that wisdom is not only found within us, but also in the conversations that invite us to see ourselves, each other, and life with fresh eyes. Perhaps that too, is a kind of magic.” I like that. Technological advancements are natural, and can change and enhance life in a myriad of ways. It is the consciousness and intention of its use that is most important.

Neptune is at 4° of Aries. Here is one the best teaching for the purpose and magic of Neptune, the last official planet in our solar system. ”It is the doorway through which consciousness peers at cosmos - and through which the light of the cosmos pours into us.” ~ Steven Forrest. Neptune in Aries invites us to embody a brave new heart, a stronger compassion, imagination and intuition to help us evolve into 5D, New Earth or whatever you like to call this massive evolutionary leap we are in.

Pluto is at 4° of Aquarius. Pluto represents the deepest archetype of soul evolution, death, rebirth and transformation. Aka the Lord of the Underworld, brother of Jupiter/Zeus, will be in Aquarius for the next 18 years! Aquarius rules the collective mind, individuality, freedom, independent and creative genius, but it is also a great teacher for the power and importance of authenticity.

I love this message. “We are here to tell you that now is the time to be authentically you. It is what you came onto the planet to do – to contribute to the mosaic of the whole through your unique vibration and your interests and passions. You have them because that is what is meant to be your contribution to the planet. Authenticity is both the vital entry code into the new earth and what makes it and you sustainable. The days of self denial are over, and as you move forward being guided by your truth and leading with that energy, the elements that relate to you, support you, celebrate you, and bring you the most joy will find you. Jupiter will be in Leo until July 2027. We have a full year to blossom and play in the magic of Leo, the sign of the cosmic Lion, divine Child and inner Queen/King. Invite this energy in your life to energize more joy, sovereignty self love, bold and confident creative expression. In the body, Leo and the Sun animate the heart and heart chakra. We can also use this expansive Leo energy to heal our personal and collective heart. “The heart heals in its own time. Some seasons aren't meant to be rushed; they’re meant to be felt. Give your heart the space it needs, trusting that healing will gently give way to greater wisdom, strength, and clarity. How is your heart asking to be cared for right now? Welcome to the invigorating soul magic flowing in this New Moon in Gemini, exact at 11 pm ET, on June 14, and into the early hours of June 15. Thank you for connecting here! In a nutshell, this New Moon in Gemini invites us to reenergize all our communications with new clarity, conviction, joy, and faith. Even though June tends to be quite a busy month, as the days are long and the Sun shines in the social magic of Gemini, the universe is reminding us to slow down and rest as much as we need. The busyness and stimulation in Gemini season can overload our nervous system. This is a time for more being, less doing.

When the Sun enters Cancer to kickstart the Summer Solstice next week on June 21, we will feel a stronger pull towards time at home with family and good friends, in comfort and deep connection. The universal mother goddess and sacred feminine fire are rising this June and July, protecting and nurturing all life. Can you feel this?

I believe that a feeling of safety and connection is the most important factor in happiness and life satisfaction. Gemini is a social butterfly, ruled by Mercury traditionally, while also resonating with Venusian themes of love, beauty and connection. At their best, the cosmic Twins can be irresistibly charming, sweet, kind, fun, and dazzlingly intelligent. I just enjoyed a lovely connection with 2 good friends who both have Venus in Gemini.

It was fun to track the alignment between Venus and Jupiter in Cancer for many days in early June. The synergy created in that conjunction expanded the importance of compassion, love, self-care and the practice of gratitude as an act of presence.

Since June 13, Venus is now in the first degrees of Leo, boosting a desire for play, joy, and passionate creative expression. Venus now forms strong geometric aspects with Neptune in Aries, Uranus in Gemini and Pluto in Aquarius. Since Leo connects to the heart chakra (and the Care Bear inside all of us), we are invited to feel the transformative healing power of love. It arrives through genuine heart-based connection. Venus now gives us the courage to look into our own heart and listen deeply. What do you see? What do you hear? Take a few seconds to receive these sacred messages.

On June 12, Uranus made another big energetic splash in the sky and formed a square aspect to the Lunar Nodes. As the planet of disruption, awakening, freedom and revolution, Uranus has been shaking and rattling ancient habit patterns that are ready to change and evolve into new expression. Uranus continues to inspire the rise of people power all over the globe for more freedom, rights and empowerment. As we feel the tension building, it is important to ground and release it through shaking, dance or any vigorous exercise. We need to support and nourish our nervous system every day.

“It is similar to being in the agitating phase of a washing machine. Everything is getting shaken so the dirt or density is being released so it can be rinsed away. Dear Ones, if you don’t know how to proceed you are not failing. This is very common during times of energetic intensity. Much like being in rapids, your focus isn’t so much on what is your highest path forward, it is more on staying in the boat, because you know the rapids eventually smooth out and propel you into new vistas.” AA Gabriel through Shelley Young.

Surprising twists and turns are normal in Uranian times. We may see curve balls in our path, inviting us to rethink our strategy and allow new possibilities and inspiration to come in. With the South Node of the Moon in Virgo (our past) and the North Node in Pisces (the future), we are releasing old patterns related to our service contracts, and deepening our intuition, imagination and trust in the spiritual dimensions of life.

Just a few days after this New Moon, Chiron enters Ta**us for the first time in 50 years! This is a huge world transit that we will talk about in greater detail in future posts. Chiron in Ta**us invites us to tend to the simple, small and local as an important counterbalance to the vastness of global energies. Local markets and farms will become more important and valued as opposed to industrial agriculture. We will feel the need for smart and practical financial management + sacred embodiment practices + living in closer connection to nature and the Earth.

I want to end this post by sharing a powerful message that a friend of mine shared on social media recently. It captures the spirit of this Gemini New Moon sky perfectly. She asked her physiotherapist, ”Am I allowed to experience joy, pleasure, fun, and a meaningful life while also not being able to work right now?” Her answer was gentle. “Yes." And my body fought back. It tightened. It seized. It resisted. It made me realize that maybe part of me still believes I have to earn rest. That I have to prove my suffering. That if I have a good day, laugh with my son, garden, watch baseball, create art, or enjoy life, then maybe people won't understand how much I continue to struggle. But two different things can be true at the same time. I can be healing and grieving. I can be joyful and heartbroken.
I can be grateful and frustrated. I can enjoy my life and still be living with the reality of a brain injury. Healing isn't always about getting stronger. Sometimes it's about learning to stop fighting yourself.” Merci Brew Crew!

Welcome to the warm, expansive magic of the Full Moon in Sagittarius and the incredibly dynamic energy flowing into June 2026. Galaxy of gratitude for connecting here. It’s a sacred honor to gather these little nuggets of wisdom from a variety of sources and share them with you. I enjoyed a delightful bike ride this afternoon, my first long ride of the year. Inspired by the Sagittarian spirit of freedom and exploration, I discovered lovely new neighbourhoods and wild areas for the first time ever. So exciting! I am enjoying feeling a sense of freedom and empowerment from this Fire Moon as it forms a conjunction with my natal Mars in Sagittarius. This Full Moon was exact on the early morning of May 31 at 10 degrees of Sagittarius. If you know your chart, have a look to feel which part of your life is getting a boost of wild fire energy.

This bright Moon awakens a desire for more freedom and an instinct to travel, journey and explore new environments as well as new ideas, philosophies, personal truths and beliefs. The Full Moon phase shines a bright cosmic light on all these areas on a personal and collective level. It invites us to breathe in the fresh air of more elevated perspectives, which bring greater clarity, amplification of our mental powers and more empowered voices.

In this Full Moon chart, Uranus is conjunct the Sun and opposite the Moon. It is time to aim the bow of our higher-mind wisdom center as highly as we can and stretch our understanding of anything and everything, anywhere and everywhere. As more truth comes to light than ever before, our beliefs may be challenged by many more revelations and disclosures this year.

An expansion of consciousness is often preceded, accompanied or followed by disruption and challenge, as our previous understanding gives way to new insight. This big Sagittarius Moon invites us to question and rethink how we see and understand the purpose of our lives on this planet. From May 20 to June 21, the Sun is flying in the friendly skies of Gemini. Since both Gemini and Sagittarius are Mutable signs, this Full Moon sky is helping us to be more flexible, adaptable, and flow with life with more trust, wisdom and grace.

Now let’s bring in Uranus, which has just recently shifted into the sign of Gemini. The planet of change, revolution, innovation, freedom, independence and truth, is conjunct the Sun and opposite the Full Moon. The presence of Uranus highlights the need to change, reframe, refresh and update our thinking, paying attention to messages and insights that may arrive unexpectedly at any time.

Can you feel the energy building? This rare energy brings electric shifts, flashes of clarity, and a sense that change is right around the corner. If things feel unpredictable, intense, or like something big is about to drop, you're tuning in perfectly. Stay open, grounded, and trust the Universe is stirring things up to move you forward. New ideas that have been percolating and simmering on the back burner are now ready to come out, be shared and applied because they are useful and important. Uranus is creating an evolutionary wave in the world of language, ideas, and communication of greater truth.

Many astrologers are talking about this June-July-August period like an evolutionary shift point. One of the factors of this massive change point involves Uranus forming an exact square aspect to the Lunar Nodes, all June. When Uranus is activated, it operates like quantum jumps and bolts of lightning. It may not be a smooth ride, but it is designed to clear energy and transmute old karmic residues. Since the North Node remains in Pisces until the end of July, this period is ripe for an increase in intuition, imagination, transcendence, compassion, and emotional release. I can really feel this lately. Can you?

In a similar way that lightning releases a build-up of electric energy in the atmosphere, Uranus disrupts and clears stagnant patterns and behaviours in our personal and collective lives. This alchemical process creates space for an explosion of necessary changes, new ideas, and new collective consciousness.

Allow this electric Full Moon to help you express your authentic self in new ways. It can feel quite exciting and inspiring, but also potentially destabilizing. Because we are feeling massive shifts of power and energy, it remains vitally important to cultivate daily grounding self-love practices that nourish our nervous system and offer relief from the intensity of what we may feel in the world. I find that regular bouncing, shaking, deep breathing, stretching, yawning and body tapping can be especially effective at this time.

In times of transition, our choices matter more than ever. Our nervous system loves to remember that we always have choices and options to do things differently. My friend created some fantastic new music using AI, which we happily danced to around a Full Moon campfire!
