The bracelet says “Be You.” Two simple words.

Yet somehow we live in a world full of messages telling us who we should be, how we should act, and what version of ourselves is most acceptable.

Let’s check in for a moment…. how much energy are you spending trying to become someone else when the world is already full of everyone else?

Somewhere along the way, we’ve started to tone things down. We quiet our opinions, stop talking about our passions, and convince ourselves that our quirks are weird or that our interests aren’t important enough to take up space.

When I think about the people I love most, it isn’t their productivity or perfection that comes to mind. It’s the things that make me smile and think, “That’s so them.”

The friend who knows every bird in her backyard. The woman who lights up talking about astrology. The person with the hobby, passion, or interest that lights them up.

Those are the things I remember. The things that make us interesting and uniquely us.

This bracelet isn’t a reminder to become someone new. It’s a reminder to stop talking myself out of the person I already am. To wear the bright colours, share the idea, get excited about things, trust my perspective, take up space, and let myself enjoy what I enjoy without feeling like I need to explain it or justify it.

Maybe some of the things that make people say, “That’s so you,” are actually the things worth leaning into a little more.

So here’s your reminder too:

Go shine your weird little sparkle. ✨

The people who love you won’t ask you to be less of yourself. They’ll encourage you to be more of it.

And if someone wants you to be less of yourself, that sounds like something they can unpack in therapy. 😉💕

Joy doesn’t have to wait until everything feels settled.

You’re allowed to hold both, what feels heavy and what feels good. The hard doesn’t cancel out the light.

Even in the middle of it, there can still be moments that feel okay, or even good. You’re allowed to notice them, to let them in, without guilt.

Grabbing a coffee at Tim Hortons in Grimsby this week? Don’t forget to add a Smile Cookie 🍪💛

Every cookie supports local care right here in our community, including McNally House Hospice in Grimsby.

It’s a sweet treat for a sweet cause & we love that

Grab one… or a few… it’s for a great cause

Sometimes it’s something as simple as a cookie that can give back in the most meaningful way.

On now until May 3!

(Thank you for the nomination. I’ll be nominating & to grab cookies if they haven’t already!)

I know how easy it is to feel like you should be over this by now.

Anyone who's actively in self exploration knows how slow healing can feel some days. It doesn’t follow a timeline, and it definitely doesn’t respond well to pressure. Some things are meant to be felt, understood, and moved through at their own pace.

Take the time you need, don't rush through it
