The bracelet says “Be You.” Two simple words.
Yet somehow we live in a world full of messages telling us who we should be, how we should act, and what version of ourselves is most acceptable.
Let’s check in for a moment…. how much energy are you spending trying to become someone else when the world is already full of everyone else?
Somewhere along the way, we’ve started to tone things down. We quiet our opinions, stop talking about our passions, and convince ourselves that our quirks are weird or that our interests aren’t important enough to take up space.
When I think about the people I love most, it isn’t their productivity or perfection that comes to mind. It’s the things that make me smile and think, “That’s so them.”
The friend who knows every bird in her backyard. The woman who lights up talking about astrology. The person with the hobby, passion, or interest that lights them up.
Those are the things I remember. The things that make us interesting and uniquely us.
This bracelet isn’t a reminder to become someone new. It’s a reminder to stop talking myself out of the person I already am. To wear the bright colours, share the idea, get excited about things, trust my perspective, take up space, and let myself enjoy what I enjoy without feeling like I need to explain it or justify it.
Maybe some of the things that make people say, “That’s so you,” are actually the things worth leaning into a little more.
So here’s your reminder too:
Go shine your weird little sparkle. ✨
The people who love you won’t ask you to be less of yourself. They’ll encourage you to be more of it.
And if someone wants you to be less of yourself, that sounds like something they can unpack in therapy. 😉💕
