Is your grip strength "normal"?

Grip strength is one of the simplest ways we assess resilience and injury risk.

Here’s the general breakdown for ages 20–40:

Men: 90–120 lbs
Women: 55–75 lbs

Why does it matter? A weak grip can be linked to shoulder instability, poor posture from desk work, or even cardiovascular health. In our Guelph clinic, we look at your shoulders, nerves, and posture to find out why the strength isn't there.

How to improve:
Farmer’s Carries
Dead Hangs
Targeted Physio for shoulder stability

Trying to conceive can feel like a full-time job nobody prepared you for.
The tracking, waiting, appointments, hormones, “helpful” advice from everyone and their aunt Karen… it can take a toll physically and emotionally.

Fertility acupuncture offers gentle, individualized support for people trying to conceive naturally or alongside IVF/IUI treatment. Using Traditional Chinese Medicine and evidence-informed care, acupuncture may help support hormone balance, menstrual cycle regulation, blood flow to reproductive organs, stress reduction, and overall reproductive health.

We often work with patients who are navigating:
• Irregular or painful cycles
• PCOS or endometriosis
• IVF or IUI preparation/support
• Recurrent pregnancy loss
• Stress, overwhelm, and emotional burnout during TTC

Fertility support isn’t just for women either. Acupuncture may also help support male fertility, including s***m health and overall wellbeing.

And honestly? Sometimes the biggest benefit is finally having a space where your body doesn’t feel like a “project” to fix. Just support, care, and a plan tailored to you.

Treatments are gentle, relaxing, and designed around your unique cycle and fertility goals.

If you’re on your fertility journey and looking for additional support, we’re here for you.

Hi, I’m Dr. Annaleeza Caputi, ND. I’m a naturopathic doctor with a clinical focus in fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum care—but at the heart of my work is something much simpler: helping people feel more at home in their bodies during seasons that can feel uncertain, overwhelming, or deeply vulnerable.

My approach to care is rooted in both evidence and empathy. I believe good medicine is not just about interpreting lab results or creating protocols, it’s about listening closely, understanding the full context of someone’s life, and building a plan that is realistic, sustainable, and supportive of their nervous system, not just their hormones. Fertility and reproductive health don’t exist in isolation; they reflect sleep, nutrition, stress, relationships, and the invisible mental load so many people carry. My role is to help connect those dots and guide patients with clarity, compassion, and evidence-based care.

Becoming a mother to twins profoundly shaped how I practice. Experiencing pregnancy, postpartum recovery, sleep deprivation, and the emotional complexity of caring for two babies while maintaining my career gave me a deeper understanding of what my patients move through every day. It shifted my perspective from idealized plans to realistic, flexible, human ones. It reinforced my belief that care must meet people where they are, not where we think they “should” be.

Outside of my clinical work, I’m someone who loves simple, grounding things. I love sharing meals with my family, watching a great reality TV show, moving my body through fitness and long walks, spending time outdoors, and starting my mornings with a good coffee. I’m deeply connected to my family and value slow, intentional time with my husband and our twins.

Above all, I see my work as a partnership. My goal is to create a space where patients feel heard, supported, and empowered, not rushed or dismissed. Reproductive health journeys can be complex, but they should never be navigated alone.

Imagine starting every morning wondering if today will finally be the day.

Will you feel relief? Or will it be another day of bloating, discomfort, cramping, and feeling weighed down?

For many people, chronic constipation affects far more than digestion. It impacts energy, mood, confidence, comfort, and quality of life. It can leave you feeling frustrated, discouraged, and tired of trying things that promise results but never seem to solve the problem.

If that sounds familiar, this webinar with Dr. Sydney Whitten, ND, is for you.

Join us as we uncover the hidden factors that contribute to chronic constipation and discuss practical, evidence-informed strategies to help you move toward more regular, comfortable digestion. You'll gain a deeper understanding of what's driving your symptoms and what you can do about it.

Facial rejuvenation acupuncture is a natural, non-invasive treatment designed to support healthy aging from the inside out. Rather than focusing only on the surface, treatments combine facial acupuncture with whole-body acupuncture to support circulation, relaxation, skin health, and overall wellbeing.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the skin reflects what’s happening internally which is why treatments are designed to support balance throughout the body, not just the face.

Facial acupuncture may help support:

• Improved skin tone and texture
• Softer appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
• Increased circulation and collagen production
• Reduced puffiness and facial tension
• Jaw tension and TMJ support
• Stress reduction and relaxation
• A brighter, more refreshed complexion

Many patients love that they leave glowing… but also feeling calmer, more rested, and less like they’ve been clenching their jaw through every email they answered that week.

Big news in women’s health! A new name for PCOS has been selected: PMOS - Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome

Why does this change matter?

The term “cysts” in PCOS is misleading - what we see on the ovaries are actually growth-arrested follicles, not true cysts.
Polycystic ovaries are not needed for a diagnosis

PMOS can involve:

Insulin resistance & difficulty managing blood sugar
Cardiovascular and metabolic risks
Acne and hormonal skin changes
Excess facial or body hair (also known as hirsutism)
Hair thinning or loss
Irregular or absent menstrual cycles
Fertility challenges

Important note - although the name is changing, the diagnostic criteria is not! 1/10 females of reproductive age are diagnosed with PMOS - this shift is about creating a name that reflects the reality of the condition and improves awareness.
