This year we did something a little different and teamed up with the other six veterinary technician/technologist associations across Canada to conduct a national survey, with help from Finley and Associates.

We will be publishing the full results in the next couple of months. In the meantime, we've got a sneak peak in the latest issue of the RVT Journal.

The College of Veterinarians of Ontario (CVO) is inviting professionals in the veterinary sector to share their opinions, in an effort to improve access to veterinary services.

🔬 Hematology Wet Lab Recap 🔬
This past weekend, the OAVT welcomed 20 RVTs for a full day of hands-on CE at our Hematology Wet Lab! Participants prepared blood smears for advanced interpretation, with a focus on RBC and WBC morphology. They also explored less common sample preparation techniques such as buffy coat slides.
Huge thanks to:
• Dr. Pam Baker, DVM, for leading the lab
• Kate Enright, RVT, VTS-candidate (Clinical Pathology), for her assistance in keeping the lab running smoothly
• Seneca College King Campus, for generously hosting the event
• CDMV for sponsoring the venue and providing their new line of Sanah nitrile gloves
It was an incredible day!
