Only in the last few days do I feel like I have the capacity to share what these last few months have been like. The so-called “newborn trenches” worked in reverse for our family this time; Juno was the easiest breeziest newborn. Time still felt compressed; juggling two feels like so much more than double juggling one. But the baby part felt easy to me.

Then a couple months in, my husband returned to work, I returned to work, and our baby stopped taking a bottle. We hoped it was a temporary blip. The blessing and the curse of working as a healthcare professional is that I always think there is a solution to be found and I’m one practitioner or resource away from unlocking success. It’s hard for me to stop searching.

But the desperation to find answers, to “do something”, to change reality became so exhausting. It was making it hard for me to be present and to find joy. I felt trapped, stuck between trying to nurture my tiny human and trying to nurture myself. I’ve always believed we can’t pour from empty cups and my cup felt so dry.

I had to work through the limbo state, the space in between, to make it to the other side and realize that surrender and radical acceptance were actually the answer.

So this is what life looks like these days. My husband driving my babies to clinic so I can nurse the little one before bedtime. It’s putting a break in my shift to drive across town to feed Juno. It’s living life in 2-4 hour intervals because that is the solution for now that lets me nurture my babe while also refilling my cup.

People are asking, “how on earth are you doing this?”

We’re doing it like this.
We’re doing it imperfectly.
We’re doing it the best way we know how.
We’re doing it through laughter and tears and an abundance of love.

We’re doing it while remembering that nothing lasts forever and that’s true for both the hard moments and the beautiful ones.

We’re choosing to relish in the whole experience because one day when we look backwards on our lives, we’ll ache for moments just like this one. Today, that’s enough to make up for the hard parts ❤️

Something really special is happening again this summer 💛

The Guelph Yoga + Wellness Festival is back on August 30th, and we’re currently inviting a small number of aligned businesses to partner with us for the 2026 event.

This event brings together 250+ members of our community—primarily women who value health, wellness, and connection—for a full day of movement, mindfulness, and meaningful experiences.

Over the past 4 years, we’ve also raised $14,500 for Hospice Wellington through our community raffle, and we’re so excited to continue building on that impact this year.

✨ We’re looking to partner with:

* Local wellness businesses
* Women-focused brands
* Health practitioners
* Community-minded companies

If you own a business, work for a company, or know someone who would love to connect with this kind of audience, I would absolutely love to hear from you.

Send me a DM or email me at [email protected] and I’ll share more details.
And if someone comes to mind right away—please tag them below or pass this along 💛

This event is truly built on community, and your support means so much.

*Limited sponsorship opportunities available*
