If you got into this profession to do thoughtful, comprehensive rehab and you’ve been frustrated by the “rush them through, hand out a printout, hope for the best” model, you might be exactly who we’re looking for.

At Defy we’ve built our model around what actually moves the needle for active people: one-on-one in-person care, dedicated WFH time for programming and check-ins, and a coaching-forward, gym-based approach that treats clients like capable adults working toward real goals.

The details: $90-$120K, benefits program, structured mentorship, weekly team education or rounds, on-site gym access, force plates and DynaMo for objective testing, and a team committed to what we’re building here.

This week, clinic owner and resident programming rockstar led us through applying a SWOT analysis framework to our clinical assessments, and the conversation that came out of it was 🔥

Every clinician brought something different to the table as we worked through real case samples, challenging each other's reasoning and building on each other's ideas.

We’re hiring for an internship 🙌

Defy Sports Performance & Physiotherapy is teaming up with to build a sports therapy team for the 2026 season, and we’re looking for 3 student trainers to join us on the sideline!

This is a paid internship with real reps, mentorship from a licensed Physiotherapist, and solid experience working with competitive soccer athletes across a full season.

Studying Kin, Athletic Therapy, Physio, or S&C? This is the kind of experience that actually moves the needle, on your resume and in your confidence!

Minimum requirement: First Aid + CPR/AED
Bonus points: First Responder Certification

We’re offering three spots, and the season runs April 2026 through end of playoffs.

26.3 and we saved the best for last 🙌 Burpees, cleans, and thrusters, because apparently the Open wanted to make sure absolutely nothing was left in the tank by the end 😅 Our clinicians .burz , and .m.lando were on site at taping shoulders, working through some very unhappy traps, and putting athletes through force plate testing because we love data almost as much as we love this community.

Honestly, being invited to support the CrossFit Open year after year never gets old. There is something about this event and the people who show up for it that is just completely unmatched. The grit, the encouragement, the absolute refusal to quit, it gets us every single time. We are so grateful to be part of it and to play even a small role in helping these athletes perform and recover at their best.

To the entire community, thank you for having us. It’s always an honour 💪

26.2 is in the books and what a day it was 🙌 .burz and were on site at keeping shoulders happy through overhead lunges, snatches, and every pull up variation the programming could throw at people 😅

We were there for the prep, the post-WOD recovery, and cheering pretty loudly somewhere in between.

If you’re competing at 26.3 this Friday, come find us! Show up a little early for some pre-WOD prep love, or hang around after and let us help you recover from whatever the programming has in store 👀 Or test your power on the force plates (there MAYbe some prizes involved). Our clinicians will be on site once again to see you through to the end of the Open.

Happy International Women’s Day to the incredible women who make Defy what it is.

From our customer experience team, who bring both genuine warmth and razor-sharp precision to everything they do both in and behind the scenes, to our clinical team, whose clinical expertise, empathy, and drive to see their clients achieve things they never thought possible sets the standard for what phenomenal care looks like.

Week 2 of the Open at and we wouldn’t have missed it for the world 🏋️‍♀️🔥

Our clinics .burz and were on site supporting every single competitor, from pre-comp prep to post-WOD recovery, and let’s just say… shoulders got a lot of love yesterday 😅

Grateful to be part of such an incredible community of athletes doing hard things, and even more grateful we could help keep them in one piece while they did it 💪​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

And to any local clubs or groups out there putting on athletic events, our door is open! Supporting our community through events like this is genuinely one of our favourite things to do, and we always love to chat about how we can help with yours!

Ah, the Open. Three weeks of strength, stamina, and grit, heralded by the sound of assault bike flywheels at full tilt, barbells hitting rubber mats, and more than a few athletes catching their breath on the floor.

Last Friday, the Defy crew was at supporting 26.1. .physio, .burz, and were on the floor helping competitors navigate a whole lot of wall balls and box jumps, keeping bodies moving well through the chaos and intensity that makes the Open what it is.

We’ll be back again for 26.2 this Friday, and 26.3 the following week, ready to support, assess, tape, cheer, and problem-solve in real time!

If you’re competing, come say hi. If you’re spectating, swing by and meet the team. We love being part of this community and watching you all test your capacity year after year.
