This sweet and very handsome cat, Fudge, came to our emergency service at Campus Estates for inappropriate urination.

Following his exam, we recommended diagnostic testing, including radiographs.
In this image, the green circle outlines his bladder, and the yellow arrow shows urinary stones.
There are several reasons why cats may urinate inappropriately — the link provides more information on possible causes.

Inky, a delightful dog, was admitted to our facility several weeks ago, exhibiting signs of illness following a neuter procedure at his regular veterinary clinic. A battery of diagnostic tests led to the recommendation for additional surgery, which revealed a rare complication from a medication resulting in a stomach ulceration. Surgical intervention involved resection of the affected area and anastomosis. Although Inky's condition improved postoperatively, he subsequently developed impaired gastric emptying, necessitating further surgery. A stricture was identified at the junction between the stomach and small intestine and was corrected through a specialized surgical procedure. After a prolonged hospital stay, involving three surgeries and supportive care, Inky was discharged home with his grateful owner. Our team, having grown fond of Inky, paid tribute to his resilience with a memorable farewell, a truly special moment.

Laser therapy time with Lacey

Sweet Lacey is sporting protective goggles while receiving therapeutic laser treatment.

Laser therapy can help pets heal faster from soft‑tissue injuries, reduce pain, and improve mobility in pets with arthritis.
A simple, non‑invasive way to help them feel their best. Lacey was perfect for her treatment.

"🐾💙 Happy National Veterinary Assistant Week! 💙🐾

This week, we’re celebrating the incredible veterinary assistants. From comforting nervous pets and supporting their families, to assisting with procedures and keeping our clinic clean, organized and running smoothly—their compassion, dedication, and hard work never go unnoticed.

They are often the steady hands behind the scenes or the first face our clients see. Every wagging tail, gentle purr, and grateful client is a reflection of the care they give each and every day.

We can't thank them enough for the countless ways they go above and beyond for our patients and our team. We are so lucky to have them! 🐶🐱💙

✨ Drop a comment to show your appreciation for our amazing vet assistants! ✨
