So many women are told no when they ask about hormone therapy.

But a “no” doesn’t make the symptoms disappear.

At my recent perimenopause talk, we talked about one of the biggest frustrations I hear from women: trying to get help, asking about HRT, and feeling like the conversation gets shut down before it even starts.

HRT isn’t right for everyone. But every woman deserves an evidence-based conversation about her symptoms, her risks, her preferences, and her options.

Perimenopause care should be individualized and symptom-led—not based on outdated assumptions about what perimenopause is supposed to look like.

If you’ve ever felt unheard when asking for help with perimenopause, you’re definitely not the only one.

Save this or share it with someone who needs to hear it. 💜

Disorienting. Overwhelming. Exhausting.

These words do not describe a place I want to be.

These are the words I hear from women trying to describe how they feel before we start working together.

Perimenopause isn't just about hot flashes. It can affect your sleep, mood, memory, energy, periods, metabolism, and sense of self. And because the symptoms often seem unrelated, many women spend years wondering what's wrong.

If you've been feeling unlike yourself, you're not alone—and you don't have to navigate this transition alone either.

Join me for a free educational talk where we'll connect the dots, separate myth from fact, and talk about practical ways to support your health through perimenopause.

The biggest mistake I see women make during perimenopause isn’t ignoring their symptoms, it’s believing they have to fix everything at once.

I understand why.

When you’re not sleeping, your mood feels off, you’re forgetting words, or wondering why you don’t feel like yourself anymore, it’s natural to want to tackle every symptom all at once.

I also see this leading to feeling overwhelmed.

You don’t need the perfect diet or supplement. You need a place to start.

This is what I offer in my perimenopause compass program. Let’s figure out where we can have the most impact and skip the overwhelm.

If this sounds interesting to you, I’d love to see you at my Beyond Hot Flashes Talk Aug 5th at Norfolk chiropractic and wellness centre.

Ever feel like you're doing all the "right" things... and still not feeling like yourself?

You're eating better.
Taking supplements.
Trying to exercise.
Listening to podcasts.
Scrolling social media for answers.

And somehow... you're more overwhelmed than when you started.

Here's what I want you to know:

✨ You don't have to do everything.

Perimenopause isn't a checklist to complete or a race to find the "perfect" supplement.

It's a transition. And every woman experiences it differently.

The key isn't doing more—it's knowing where to start.

That's the idea behind my Perimenopause Compass. Instead of trying to tackle everything at once, we identify the areas having the biggest impact on your health and create a plan that feels realistic, personalized, and sustainable.

If you're ready to stop guessing and start understanding what's happening in your body, I'd love to see you at my free "Beyond Hot Flashes" talk on August 5 at Norfolk Chiropractic & Wellness Centre.

"I don't feel like myself anymore."

That's one of the most common things I hear from women in their 40s.

They tell me they're exhausted, anxious, waking up at 3 a.m., forgetting words, gaining weight despite doing everything "right," or feeling like they've somehow lost themselves.

Many assume it's just stress.
Others wonder if they're simply getting older.

Often, no one has ever explained that these changes can be part of perimenopause—and that it doesn't start with hot flashes.

If you've been feeling different but can't quite explain why, I'd love for you to join me for this free community talk.

Together we'll cover:
✓ Why symptoms often begin years before menopause
✓ How hormones can affect sleep, mood, brain fog, and weight
✓ Practical strategies you can start using right away

If you are waiting for hot flashes you might be missing some earlier signs of perimenopause.

Instead it might begin with
- poor sleep
- increased anxiety
- brain fog
- mood changes
- not feeling like yourself

Every woman’s experience is different, which is one reason perimenopause can be difficult to recognize.

Maybe you saw yourself reflected in this list. Maybe you are curious about the full perimenopause picture.

Why do so many women miss the signs of perimenopause?

Not because they aren't paying attention.

Because most of us were never taught what perimenopause actually looks like.

For many of us, the generation before us never talked about it. As symptoms slowly appear, it's easy to assume they're caused by stress, a busy season of life, getting older, or simply not taking good enough care of ourselves.

The challenge is that perimenopause doesn't look the same for everyone. It can overlap with stress, burnout, thyroid concerns, anxiety, sleep disorders, and other health conditions. It's rarely as simple as one symptom or one answer.

Many women leave appointments still wondering what's going on because they haven't found an explanation that fits their experience.

The good news is that you don't have to figure it out alone—or tackle every symptom at once.

Understanding the bigger picture helps you focus on the areas that will make the biggest difference for you.

That's exactly why I created The Perimenopause Compass: to help women understand this transition, make sense of their symptoms, and build a practical plan that feels realistic and sustainable.

"I don't feel like myself anymore."

It's one of the hardest things to hear and it really shakes people up. It is never just one thing.

It's the woman who used to have endless patience but now feels irritable all the time.

The one who can't remember why she walked into a room.

The one who used to exercise because it made her feel good, but now she barely has the energy to get through the day.

The one lying awake at 3 a.m with racing thoughts, some of which are "This never used to happen to me.

By the time many people come to see me, they've often spent months—or even years—trying to get back to themselves. They've tried to push through, sleep more, eat better, exercise harder, or make peace with "just getting older."

Sometimes it's stress.

Sometimes it's burnout.

Sometimes it's perimenopause.

Sometimes it's something else entirely.

My job isn't to guess. It's to help you understand what's happening, identify the factors contributing to how you're feeling, and create a plan that helps you feel like yourself again.

If you've been thinking, "I just don't feel like myself anymore," know that you're not alone—and you don't have to figure it out on your own.

❤️ I'd love to know: What change made you realize something wasn't quite right?

Instead of asking if it is stress, burnout or perimenopause. Ask yourself “Do I know how to feel better and recover” Maybe the answer is no, or maybe you are feeling a little unsure.

It might be time to ask for help. I seriously love getting to the bottom of things with patients. Let’s clarify what’s driving your symptoms and make a straightforward plan.
