Sabrina Böhmer

Sabrina Böhmer Virtual mindfulness-based yoga therapy with a focus on alleviating stress, anxiety, and depression. What’s my motivation?

Hi, I’m Sabrina - certified Yoga Therapist, Teacher & Mindfulness Enthusiast! I specialize in stress management techniques to help you tackle everyday challenges, monumental hardships, and everything in between. My unique approach is rooted in neuroscience and evidence-based practices that draw from mindfulness and yoga. Around 80% of all disease is caused by chronic stress. That's why my sessions

focus on equipping clients with resources that help them manage their life’s circumstances. The problem is we were never taught how to manage these challenges, and it’s resulting in chronic stress, burnout, anxiety, depression, and a whole host of other conditions. My aim is to provide you with the tools, knowledge, and intuition to consistently ground yourself, develop a greater self-awareness and understanding of where discomfort is stemming from, and guide you closer to calm. I’ve been collecting practices from around the world, personally trialling them in my own healing journey, and now, incorporate them into my work so you can benefit from them too. I can’t wait to collectively move, breathe, feel, and connect with you on your personalized path to self-discovery! x Sabrina

Are you feeling overwhelmed by life’s daily grind? 😬Chronic stress and burnout can take a toll on your physical, emotional and mental health.

And if you said ‘yes’ to this, then it might be time to retrain your nervous system and shift those endless ruminating thought patterns.

When I introduce people to stress management tools and burnout prevention methods, I typically hear:

“I’ve already tried ALL the hacks – I’m doing the whole ice bath, cold exposure thing. And I workout, sometimes I even try to meditate.”

And to that I say:

There is NO quick fix or ‘lifehack’ to true wellbeing

It requires a consistent practice to maintain homeostasis across the body, mind, and nervous system.

That’s why I’m offering an online group class series that teaches evidence-based practices for the long-term AND methods of how to actually implement them in your daily life consistently.

On May 19th I’m leading the last 2024 dates for the live 8-week “Yoga Therapy for the Mind & Nervous System” program before I go on maternity leave.

It’s designed to help you manage anxiety, chronic stress, burnout, and more. Join me for 90-minute sessions filled with mindful movement, self-inquiry, meditation, breathwork, and neuroscience education.

This is the right program for you, if you want to:

▫️ Learn practical tools to regulate your nervous system and manage stress, anxiety, depression, or burnout

▫️ Cultivate a deeper mind-body connection and enhance your overall well-being

▫️ Develop resilience and the ability to sit with discomfort

▫️ Rewire negative thought patterns and promote emotional balance

▫️ Connect with a supportive community of like-minded individuals on a similar journey of personal growth and self-discovery

I keep the groups small so places are very limited. I want you to get the most out of the program and that personalized experience!

Great overview of the PNS activation (part of the autonomic nervous system) to help manage stress simply by elongating the exhale!

We’re also talking about the vagus nerve here (the longest cranial nerve) - another player in the real-time relaxation response.

There are of course mannyy “real-time” practices, not just the mentioned physiological sign (similar to dirga breath). Another to name that has shown positive research results is coherent breathing at 6 breaths, for example.

For more practices follow along or send me a DM “get started” to explore more personalized practices for your own nervous system toolkit.

Happiness Is A Habit, meaning it takes consistent practice and the right personalized toolkit of resources for you to achieve it.

It doesn’t come in pill form, it doesn’t come overnight, and no one can do it for you.

What I can do is guide you in the right direction and introduce you to different practices that may work for you.

If you’re looking for an intro into developing your stress management toolkit to help you find more joy and calm in your day-to-day, then I invite you to look into my upcoming 8 Week Group Program which is held Live on Zoom Worldwide.

Starting THIS SUNDAY, MAY 7th for eight consecutive weeks.

If you’re struggling with TMJ - Temporomandibular Joint pain - then truly know you’re not alone in that.

If you tuned into last Friday’s episode on the RAW Recordings podcast, I was joined by Alyssa, The Behaviour Mama. We spoke about our grief journeys and how TMJ showed up as a result of it.

I’m sharing some more tools that personally helped me relieve my muscular jaw tension.

Here’s a short list of what you can start with:

• Sleep with a retainer at night

• Massage the area with a gua sha

• See a TMJ Manual Therapy specialist

• Visualization meditations to relax the tension in the area

• Realllly move your body to use up cortisol (...this is the time I ran a marathon!)

Tune into your body and respond to it with the tools that help you balance. If you’re looking for a more personalized approach to stress relief, you can book a free 1:1 Meet & Greet call with me in the link in my bio.

Share in the comments which practices you use to help with tension:
