Due to a network outage caused by a fibre cable being cut in Uxbridge, the area continues to experience significant phone, fax, and internet disruption. We have access to our EMR, however, not all phone calls are going through or faxes to pharmacies, specialists, hospital(s), etc. We are waiting on an Estimated Time of Restoration and will post updates here.

We have lost power at the Medical Centre. We are unsure what time it is to be restored. We are unable to call out, receive calls, or access the electronic medical records system. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Dear Community,

Thank you for your continued patience as we renovate our Emergency Department to serve you better! Things are coming along nicely and should be ready in the next few weeks.

As we get closer to the upcoming long weekend, please be reminded that you have several options for care as our community gets a little busier. As always, if you are experiencing an emergency, please call 9-1-1. If your health concern is a little less urgent, please consider visiting our Urgent Care Clinic in Minden or visit https://www.getmaple.ca for virtual care.

Please also be reminded that when visiting the Emergency Department, patients with the most emergent needs are seen first.
HHHS uses the CTAS system, which stands for the Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale. It is a 5-level, validated triage system used in hospital emergency departments to prioritize patient care based on the severity of their illness or injury, ensuring those needing immediate life-saving care are seen first.

Have a safe and fun long weekend!

Update May 15, 2026

The following providers are not requiring 5 minute appointments for medication renewals (please note your provider may still request an appointment with them to review the renewal depending on the medication and your last visit);

Dr. Lupu, Dr. Kayoumedjian, Dr. George, and Nurse Practitioners Kathy McLaughlin, Vanessa Meraw, and Cici Cooper.

Thank you for your understanding and patience as we work through the loss of PrescribeIT and the new FHO+ model.

April 30, 2026

To Our Patients,

EFFECTIVE MAY 11, 2026

Due to the loss of the medication prescribing program called “PrescribeIT” and recent changes to funding for family physicians in Ontario, the physicians will now be booking telephone appointments for all medication renewals. This will allow us the opportunity to review medication benefits and any side effects prior to fills. These medication renewal appointments will be booked as shorter appointments (5 minutes), with the sole purpose of renewing medications. There are some exceptions to the medications that can be renewed this way. Your provider, or a team member, will let you know if you require an in-person appointment.

If there are other issues you would like to discuss, we ask that you book a separate appointment so we have adequate time to address your concerns appropriately. Please have your prescription bottles or lists with you for these phone calls so current medications and doses can be verified.

We kindly ask that you are mindful of repeats on medications, and book these appointments in advance to ensure medications are filled in a timely manner.

We are working on improving our online appointment booking system to allow you to self-schedule this appointment type, however, it is currently not available to use for this purpose. You may still use our online booking system for Drs. Armstrong, Charles, Coles, Eisbrenner, Gilmour, Hatch, Lupu and Tilbrook for other visit types. Visit our website at https://www.hhfht.com/book-appointments-online/ or scan the QR code below!

Sincerely,

Kimberley Robinson, Practice Manager
