It was such a pleasure spending time with Yanick Séïde and her beautiful family during our Talk with Dr. Agnes experience.

This episode is very close to my heart.

For the first time on Talk with Dr. Agnes, I get to sit across from someone who has known me long before I became a doctor, an author, or a talk show host… my mum.

Barrister (Mrs) Modesta D**e Umeh Modesta Umeh is my next guest, and I honestly cannot wait for you to hear her story.

We’ll be having a very special caregiving conversation about her experience caring for my dad through dementia, the lessons, the strength, the challenges, and the wisdom she gained along the way. We’ll also talk about ageing well, living with purpose, and the beautiful things life teaches us as we grow.

Being an author, a physician, a speaker, and now the host of Talk with Dr. Agnes has been a journey of growth, learning, and stepping into spaces I never imagined.

Each role has taught me something different. Writing Michael’s Memories allowed me to put experiences and lessons into words. Medicine has taught me the importance of compassion and human connection. Speaking has given me a platform to share knowledge and perspectives. And hosting Talk with Dr. Agnes has given me the privilege of sitting across from remarkable people and asking the questions that allow their stories to unfold.

It has not always been easy to balance all these responsibilities, but it has been deeply fulfilling.

What continues to inspire me is knowing that each of these platforms gives me another opportunity to educate, connect, encourage, and hopefully leave something meaningful behind.

I am grateful for the journey so far, grateful for every person who has supported me, and excited for everything still ahead.

From the pages of a book to conversations in front of the camera, the goal remains the same: to make an impact, one story and one conversation at a time.

One of the things I love most about hosting Talk with Dr. Agnes is the opportunity to ask questions that go beyond the obvious and create space for honest, meaningful conversations.

In this episode, I asked Busola Adeniji:

“What experiences early in your life shaped the woman you are today?”

Her answer was deeply inspiring. She opened up about the experiences that shaped her, the lessons she carried forward, and the journey that helped form the woman she has become today.

This is what I love about meaningful conversations. Sometimes, one question can take us deeper, make us pause, and even cause us to reflect on our own journey.

Busola brought so much wisdom, honesty, and depth to our conversation, and I was truly delighted to have her on the show. ❤️
