Four layers sit between the surface of your neck and the bone: skin, a pad of fat, the
platysma muscle, and the mandibular retaining ligament beneath it.

A neuromodulator works on exactly one of them. It relaxes muscle. It cannot tighten a
ligament that has loosened, cannot lift a fat pad that has descended, and does nothing
for skin that has lost its snap.

For early platysmal banding in a young, thin neck, the full protocol is real physiology,
correctly applied. For a jowl caused by fat descent and a stretched ligament, the muscle
