We’re officially introducing Oli’s Purple Pit Crew! 💜🏁

As most of our circle knows, epilepsy has become a part of our family’s story over the past year. Our son, Oli, continues to have focal seizures despite trying multiple medications, & we’re still working alongside his medical team to better understand the why behind his epilepsy &, most importantly, find the right treatment to get our little guy seizure-free.

So this year, we’re turning some of that uncertainty into something positive. On October 18th, we’ll be taking part in the Purple Epilepsy Walk & have created a campaign to raise money for epilepsy awareness, support & research — for Oli & for all of the other kids & families navigating life with epilepsy.

Whether you want to walk with our team, donate, share our campaign, or simply help spread awareness, every bit of support means so much to us.

There’s still so much we don’t know about where this journey will take Oli, but one thing we know for sure is that he has one heck of a Pit Crew behind him. 🥹💜

Thank you for caring about our boy, supporting our family & cheering Oli on every step of the way.

Full speed ahead, Oli! 💜🏁

I’ve been spoiled this week from some super sweet patients 🥹💐🥖

Not that I ever expect little treats but it feels so special knowing I’ve created the kind of connections with my patients where when they’re away from the clinic, they think: “hey, I’m going to bake my crazy osteo lady a loaf of bread” or “my osteo needs some hand-picked/grown flowers to brighten up her day”.

MY PATIENTS MAKE MY HEART SMILE 😀💗

Motherhood has changed the way I practice, the way I care for people, & the way I care for myself. 🤍

Becoming a mom gave me a much deeper understanding of how much women hold — the mental load, the physical demands, the emotional highs & lows, the exhaustion, the love, & the constant balancing act that often goes unseen. It’s one of the reasons I feel so passionate about supporting mothers in my practice. Moms deserve care too — not just during pregnancy or postpartum, but through every stage of motherhood.

Today, I’m celebrating all forms of motherhood & holding space for those who are feeling mixed emotions today — whether that’s grief, longing, loss, overwhelm, gratitude, joy, or something in between. However this day feel for you, I hope you’re met with care & gentleness.

Happy Mother’s Day 💛💐🦋✨

This past weekend was spent learning how to wiggle the cranial nerves inside all the nooks & crannies of the skull, among some of the Maritime’s greatest Osteopaths 🫨💆🏼‍♀️

I’m proud to be a member of the Nova Scotia Assosication of Osteopaths (NSAO), who is committed to creating opportunities for Osteos to learn together, diversifying our professional expertise/reputation, & upholding the highest standard of practice in our province.

If you’ve got weird head or face things going on, LET ME PLAY WITH YOUR NOGGIN! I’d love to put these new skills to use 🤲🏻💗

One of THE BEST moments in clinic is finally getting to meet & hold the little creature you’ve been poking around in her mama’s belly for the past 9 months — we’ve essentially been friends the whole time 🐣

Supporting a mama through her pregnancy & then getting to meet her “mini” earth-side will never not feel like an absolute privilege & some of the best moments of my career 🙏🏻

Welcome to the world, Baby D. We’re so lucky to have you here 💗🕊️

If your first patient tells you that you look like a banana in pyjamas, do you take it as a compliment or nah? Asking for a friend…🥴😂

One thing I care a lot about in my practice is meeting my patients exactly where they’re at — not where a textbook says they “should be”. For some people that looks like quiet, eyes closed, deep breathing during a session. For others, it’s chatting through their whole appointment. & for some… it’s cozying up with a Nintendo Switch mid-Pokémon battle 🎮

When your body feels safe & regulated, treatment works better. So if that means adjusting positions, creating a more relaxed environment, or letting you focus on something that helps you settle… I’m all for it. 😌

There’s no one “right” way to receive care here 🤍🙏🏻

Today we recognize Epilepsy Awareness Day 💜

Epilepsy is one of the most common neurological conditions in Canada, affecting people of all ages. While many individuals achieve good seizure control, others continue to navigate complex challenges that impact daily life.

As healthcare providers, awareness helps us better support, understand, & advocate for our patients — both inside and outside the clinic.
