So you’ve had a tongue tie revision and feeding is still a challenge? You’re not alone 💕

This can be the hardest part. The tongue tie may have been impacting feeding, but it was only one piece of the puzzle. Babies often need additional support in the form of suck training and addressing areas of tension to help optimize the new range of motion the revision has created.

So if your little one has had their tongue tie revised and things feel unchanged—or even worse—this isn’t the end of the road. It just means there’s more to the story.

As a physiotherapist trained in infant feeding support, I look at the big picture together with families. Is there muscle tension? Is there an issue with latch or positioning? Or do we need to work on tongue coordination? Addressing these factors is often part of the journey toward effective and efficient feeding.

If you’re struggling, you’re not alone—and there is help out there. Reach out and we can figure out where to start.

Excited to be helping host this hands-on continuing education course later this month in Fall River 😊

“Foundations of Infant Bodywork: Supporting Feeding and Mobility in Pediatric Care” is designed for healthcare professionals working with infants and families, with a focus on early structural assessment, mobility, collaborative care, and scope-appropriate intervention.

The course is taught by Laura Doyle, Pediatric Physiotherapist + IBCLC, and explores topics including:
• infant structural assessment
• oral and cervical mobility
• muscular tension patterns
• torticollis and early movement
• collaborative care in infant feeding support

One thing I especially appreciate about this course is its emphasis on working within professional scope and building strong interprofessional relationships while supporting infants and families.

Looking forward to learning alongside other providers in this space!

Hi! I’m Terri 👋

I’m a physiotherapist based in Fall River, NS, with a special interest in women’s pelvic health, perinatal care, and infant feeding support.

Over the past several years, my practice has evolved to include support for:
• pelvic pain & pelvic floor concerns
• pelvic health during menopause
• pregnancy & postpartum recovery
• infant feeding challenges
• pre/post frenectomy care
• early infant tension and movement concerns

I love helping people better understand their bodies and feel more comfortable, confident, and supported through different stages of life and parenthood.

This page will be a space for education, resources, and a little bit of real-life physiotherapy along the way 😊

Thanks for being here!
