📣 Looking for a family doctor in Hammonds Plains?

We’re excited to share on behalf of Hammonds Plains Family Practice that two new family doctors will be joining the practice this Fall! 🎉

When new doctors become available, patients are contacted through the list provided by Nova Scotia Health (811). This means that registering with the Need a Family Practice Registry — and keeping your information up to date — is the way to be considered for a family doctor when one becomes available.

📍 Make sure your information is current! In particular, check that your address and postal code are correct, as this information is used by 811 when determining who may be connected with available family practices.

Our student clinics are held based on student availability at our Bedford and Tantallon clinic locations.

Student Clinic Rate: $50
Regular rate: $65

When students are confirmed for their hands-on clinical experience, we will send an email to everyone on our mailing list with the clinic date and a booking link. The booking link will allow you to select and reserve your appointment time directly.

Please note: Appointment spots are limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Receiving the email does not reserve a spot, you will be responsible for booking your own appointment using the link provided.

Your appointment will be provided by a student foot care nurse under the direct guidance and supervision of an experienced foot care nurse educator.

We want to send a big welcome to Kim Farnell RN to our team! 🎉👣

A local nurse living in Seabright noticed us at DocSide Wellness Centre and was very interested in learning more about our services/foot care and is excited to bring more foot care availability to our community!

Some of you may have already met Kim, she is currently completing her advanced and diabetic nursing foot care education with us.

She will be working out of our Docside Wellness Clinic in Tantallon on Tuesdays and Wednesdays starting in September.
