🦋 2026 wasn't perfect. It was real.🦋

And in the real-ness, I'm thankful for:
My people, health that carried me and healing that happened, work that has meaning, outdoors that grounds me, and becoming more myself.

🦃 Happy Thanksgiving

Cornel hit hard 😢 We need people who don't just agree with us.

People who can think critically and question us without tearing us down. Who care more about what's true than what's comfortable.

Who understand accountability isn't an attack — sometimes it's an act of care.

We don't need peacekeepers who protect the image of peace.

We need people who look at systems, not just individuals. Who know the difference between creating peace and avoiding conflict. Who know neutrality isn't always loving.

We need relationships where we can say “that hurt someone, look again, let's take responsibility” — and still know we're on the same side of growth.

Not agreement.

Honesty, courage, and accountability over appearances.

Who are you choosing to surround yourself with right now? 👇

🦋 The gap between the pulpit and the therapy room
was never meant to be a wall.

🦋 You are not too spiritual for therapy,
not too broken for faith.

🦋 You are wholly seen —
soul and mind,
held by one Body,
led by the one.

🦋 The cocoon was never meant to be a forever home. It’s a place to transform before stepping into what’s next. 🦋

You don't have to choose between science and faith. 🤍
EMDR honours how God made us — body, mind, and spirit.

It's not hypnosis. It's not forgetting. It's your brain's natural healing process, with safety and your pace leading the way.

In my practice, faith is always an invitation, never a requirement.

Is there a myth about EMDR you've heard?

🦋 Many people enter the counselling room carrying things we cannot always see—fear, anxiety, confusion, grief, and troubles that have quietly shaped their world, and words spoken over them.

🦋 Let us be careful not to enter their story with assumptions, or our own view through our own hurts.

🦋 Before we name their journey, remember the light already living within them.

🦋 We are invited to walk beside them,
not to write the ending.

🦋 Not every story is about winning.
Sometimes, it is about proportion.

🦋 About learning how something can hurt as vast and blue as a storm,
while hope may be nothing more than a single ember—

still cupped,
still warm,
still glowing.

🦋 And sometimes,
our greatest work is simply helping someone protect that small light
until they can see it for themselves again.

Something I read stayed with me:
Be careful which voices you give authority to.

Not every story is the whole story.
Not every silence is wisdom.
Not every accusation deserves agreement.

Truth doesn’t fear questions, clarity, or examination.

Discern the voice before you give it a seat in your heart.

Guard your heart. Seek truth. Ask questions. And never be afraid of clarity.

🦋 I’ve had some beautiful conversations with pastors lately— honest, courageous, and deeply needed.

🦋 Conversations about the gap between pastoral counselling and therapy, and what it could look like when psychology and theology meet with humility.

🦋 Grateful for pastors willing to ask hard questions, build something better, and bridge the gap.

Why does self-disclosure feel so hard in church?

Does the system allow it or dismiss it?

Churches have invisible rules about who can speak, what role you play, and what story is "allowed."

When the system can't hold your story, you become the outsider.

What feels safe is different for everyone — and that's okay.

Safe = clarity, being believed without being exposed, and space for no / not yet / not here.

Your story deserves a system that can hold it.
