This year, the Rodmaster Car Club celebrated its 55th Anniversary Car Show, continuing their long-time tradition of giving back to the community.

We’re grateful for their ongoing support and for helping create a place of comfort, care and connection for children and families across our region.

October 8 is National Children’s Hospice Palliative Care Day.

Children with serious illnesses or medical complexity and their families deserve access to specialized care and support close to home.

Keaton’s House – Paul Paletta Children’s Hospice will be the first pediatric hospice in the Hamilton region. It will provide respite, pain and symptom management, end-of-life care and grief and bereavement support in a home-like setting designed for children and families.

This year’s national theme, Short Lives Can’t Wait, is a reminder of the urgent need for equitable access to children’s hospice palliative care across Canada.

Together, we’re building Keaton’s House for families across Hamilton, Burlington, Niagara, Brant, Norfolk, Guelph and Waterloo Region.

🧡 September 30 is Orange Shirt Day and the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Today, we remember the children who never returned home, honour Survivors and their families, and recognize the lasting impacts of residential schools on Indigenous Peoples and communities.

Truth and reconciliation ask all of us to listen, learn and reflect, while acknowledging the harms of the past and the work that continues today.

At Kemp Care Network, this learning is part of our ongoing EDIB work. We are committed to listening to Indigenous perspectives and continuing to strengthen care that respects each person’s dignity, values, beliefs and lived experience.

For Sara and Ralph, and their daughters Rachel and Janneke, life has been shaped by love, resilience and the daily realities of caregiving.

Both Rachel and Janneke live with complex medical needs and require ongoing care and support. Through it all, their family continues to find moments of joy, connection and togetherness.

Keaton’s House – Paul Paletta Children’s Hospice will create a trusted place for families like theirs, where children with serious illness and medical complexity can receive care and comfort, and families can find respite, support and connection.
