Hi my name is Shawn! I’m a Registered Physiotherapist who specializes in musculoskeletal injuries/conditions.

I obtained my Honours Bachelor of Applied Science in Kinesiology (BASc) at the University of Guelph-Humber while concurrently receiving a Diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion from Humber College. I then went on to complete my Masters of Science in Physiotherapy (MScPT) from the University College Dublin (UCD) in Ireland.

I believe in patient-centred care, incorporating hands on manual therapy techniques, soft tissue work, rehabilitative exercise, and patient education to align your treatment and recovery to your goals.

When I’m not at work, I love to go to the gym focusing on strongman and powerlifting training, going on walks, and hanging out with friends and family.

I look forward to connecting with you and helping you along your recovery journey.

My hours are Tuesday and Thursday 8am-8pm, and Saturday 8am-5pm. If you would like to book online you can use the link in our bio or give us a call at (905)-529-1222

Hi everyone! My name is Dr. Joseph Amaral, a licensed chiropractor dedicated to helping patients move better, feel better, and return to the activities they love. I have a strong focus on evidence-based care and work with patients of all ages to address musculoskeletal conditions, improve function, and support overall health.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from McMaster University before completing my Doctor of Chiropractic degree at Northeast College of Health Sciences.

During my training, I gained experience assessing and treating a wide range of conditions. I am committed to ongoing learning and regularly pursue continuing education to stay current with the latest evidence-based treatment approaches.

I take a patient-centered approach to care, combining chiropractic adjustments with soft tissue therapy, acupuncture, rehabilitation exercises, and patient education to help individuals achieve lasting results. I believe that understanding the root cause of pain and empowering patients with the tools to manage their health is the key to recovery.

Outside of the clinic, I enjoy fitness, sports, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. I look forward to helping patients in the Hamilton area live healthier, more active lives.

You can find me at AIM Physio & Wellness Tuesdays from 9am-5pm, Thursday’s from 8am-7pm, and Saturday’s from 8am-3pm.

You can call us at (905)-529-1222 to book with me or you can book online using the link in our bio.
