The overlooked muscle that could be causing your headaches 👀

Your sternocleidomastoid (SCM) can create referred headaches—often felt in the forehead, temples, behind the eyes, or even around the ear and jaw. It’s not where you feel the pain… but it’s often where it starts🔁

When this muscle gets tight or overworked, it develops trigger points that send pain elsewhere—leading to that dull, pressure-like, hard-to-pinpoint headache🤕

Why it gets irritated
• Forward head posture (phones, laptops)
• Shallow or stress breathing (overusing the SCM)
• Clenching or jaw tension
