Okay, so THIS is the Map of Consciousness by David R. Hawkins. In which he mapped these levels in his books, Power vs. Force, The Map of Consciousness Explained, Transcending the Levels of Consciousness, Letting Go, and others.
One thing I find REALLY interesting is that sometimes a stronger and weaker level can feel or look similar, but it depends on the perspective and intentions that dictate the vibration. An example of this is apathy and acceptance can look almost identical from the outside. Both can have you saying “Meh. It is what it is.”
But internally? It truly looks something more like...
Apathy: “Nothing I do matters.”
Acceptance: “This is what’s happening. Now what?”
These are VERY different consciousness. And this is where I find the Map useful. It gives you a framework for noticing what state you're operating from, rather than just judging your behaviour.
To test your level/state of consciousness, people also use applied kinesiology/muscle testing (AK) as one tool for exploring questions and patterns as another way to investigate what’s going on. Keeping in mind, this is not a cosmic lie detector by any means, but it does connect your subconscious and bring answers from within you to the surface. This method, when done correctly, can be infallible and results are often repeatable. The neatest part is that you can use this method and Map to test the validity of so many other things, like project ideas, life direction, alignment with in relationships, which inspiration or aspirations to follow, prioritizing goals, and the list goes on.
The goal isn't to obsess over what “level” you're at. It's noticing the pattern and finding the next step that gives you a little more agency, clarity and choice. Basically, this is less to with “OMG WHAT VIBRATION AM I???” And more like “Huh. Interesting. What can I do with this?”
The best questions are always the ones that ask for the mirror "what is this trying to show me?"
