Before the week ends -- one breath. 🌱

What does your body need right now?

This is the question we come back to, again and again, in our Hamilton therapy practice. Not ‘what should I do?’ But ‘what do I notice?’

Have a beautiful weekend.

You leave the session thinking “okay that was fine.’

Three days later you’re in the car and it just…lands.

That’s the work. That’s what therapy actually looks like most of the time — not a breakthrough in the room but a quiet shift on a Friday afternoon.

After harvesting a bunch of dandelion greens, they were left on the countertop overnight.

Laying in the greens was an unopened bud that was grabbed by mistake.

Overnight, even after being picked and laying on my counter, it stood up and bloomed anyway

A little reminder of resilience.
The ability to keep on folding after disruption
To keep reaching for light after being uprooted from what was familiar

Healing isn’t always loud or linear
Sometimes it’s simply the quiet decision to keep opening, one small petal at a time.

Please join us in welcoming Tasha to the BODYMIND Collective team ✨

If you’ve stopped by the clinic and seen a fairy-like presence watering the plants or greeting you at the door, you’ve probably met her already!

As one of our Care & Connection Specialists, Tasha brings a calm, grounded, and welcoming presence to every interaction. With a background in counselling and holistic wellness, she offers a thoughtful blend of insight, empathy, and intuition, helping each client feel supported, at ease, and truly cared for throughout their journey.

Tasha’s work is rooted in nurturing the whole person, body, mind, and spirit. Beyond the clinic, she is a holistic practitioner, birth and postpartum doula, and facilitator of somatic and dance-based community gatherings in the Hamilton area. Through all that she does, she creates intentional spaces where people can reconnect with themselves and feel held in community.

Her warmth, attentiveness, and holistic perspective make her a beautiful addition to our team, and we couldn’t be more excited to have her with us

We hear these two C words a lot, but what do coping and capacity actually have in common? And what happens when the coping skills we've worked so hard to build just... stop working?

Coping was never meant to be the whole answer. When we lean on it as the solution, we will always come up short.

Capacity is what grows underneath. It's your system's ability to stay present with hard feelings, stress, and uncertainty without being pulled under by them. It's slower and less visible than a coping skill. You won't always notice it building.

But it's what makes the hard moments less hard over time.

This is what we are passionate about at our Hamilton psychotherapy practice - not just adding more tools, but slowly expanding what you can hold. Through safety, repetition, and relationships where something in you gradually learns it's okay to stay.

(Even when it doesn't look like much is happening)

We’re so glad to welcome April to the BODYMIND Collective team. With over 15 years of experience in social work and a background in yoga and mindfulness, she supports individuals and families not just in talking through stress, but in understanding how it lives in the body and how to begin letting it go.
Her sessions are steady, thoughtful, and guided by what you need. Sometimes that looks like reflection, sometimes stillness, sometimes gently tuning into what your body is holding, because healing doesn’t only happen through words.
She’s the kind of therapist who moves at your pace, creating space to feel safe, supported, and more like yourself again. No pressure, no rush. Just real, grounded care.
April is currently accepting new clients with availability on Tuesdays and Fridays (virtual)

With warmer days and longer stretches of sunlight, it’s finally beginning to feel like spring. We invite you to step outside, take a walk, and notice what’s blooming around you. As the world awakens, this is also a beautiful time to reflect inward. What’s beginning to bloom within you? What seeds are you hoping to plant and nurture in the coming season?

Check out our newsletter (link in bio) for a special offering on the horizon, along with some wonderful new faces joining our BODYMIND team.
