❤️ WHY WE MARCH

Diana was diagnosed with MGUS in 2009, which progressed to Stage 1 Multiple Myeloma in November 2011. After treatment with Velcade and Dexamethasone, Diana underwent a stem cell transplant on May 12, 2012, which resulted in a complete remission.

In 2023, Diana relapsed and began treatment again — treatment she will continue for as long as it keeps working.

Today, Diana is living a normal, happy life, 15 years from her original diagnosis. And she continues to walk because there is still work to do.

She walks for everyone living with Multiple Myeloma, for those who will face this diagnosis in the future, and for the research that will one day lead to a cure.

We’re just ONE WEEK away from coming together at Confederation Park to walk, connect, remember, celebrate, and raise funds to improve the lives of people living with multiple myeloma.

❤️ WHY WE MARCH

I’ve met so many wonderful people through the Myeloma community, and what stands out to me is how much everyone cares and supports one another. The Myeloma March gives us a special day to come together, celebrate, and unite around a common cause.

This year is especially meaningful to me because some of the funds raised will support research by Dr. Hira Mian, someone I greatly respect and admire for all she has done for our myeloma community.

I’m proud to be part of this community, and proud to march alongside so many people who share the same hope for a better future.

This is her 5th year walking, and every step carries a little more meaning. She marches to raise awareness, support the research that gives hope to those living with Multiple Myeloma, and honour everyone who is on this journey alongside her.
