I have completed a 5 year training program in Osteopathy plus an extra year to complete a research paper and I continue to learn and attend courses!

Before your next appointment, ask this one question: Are you an OAO member?

OAO members have agreed to uphold a Code of Ethics, meet stringent Standards of Practice, and pursue ongoing continuing education throughout their careers.

In a profession that is not yet regulated in Ontario, membership in a professional association is one of the strongest signals of accountability you can find.

It is not normal to experience pain, clicking or locking in the jaw with opening and closing. You may be living with this without realizing there is help.

TMJ can create stress and tension in the whole system - it can create neck or low back pain and affect your breathing, chewing, speaking, swallowing or your digestion as well. Furthermore, dysfunction in the jaw could be having an effect on your posture and contributing to pain in other areas. It can work both ways -- if the jaw is the main problem, your neck, back and shoulders are adapting around it, but in can be that the jaw is adapting to tension somewhere else in the body.

By conducting an assessment, we can figure out a treatment plan to get it sorted out.

So fortunate to have some amazing produce available in my local area. I have not had success with growing veggies so I appreciate our local farmers! Picked up kale, romaine, red butter lettuce, cabbage, beets, green beans, new potatoes, spring onions, and some patty-pan zucchini right within a 5 mile radius of my 🏠.

In an osteopathic assessment, the practitioner observes the body and detects areas of tension or dysfunction. Based on this assessment, the treatment gently resolves these areas of tension. This relaxes the nervous system and balances body systems, which can have a significant effect on how you feel.

An Osteopathic Manual Practioner can help prepare for pregnancy in many ways. Some examples include help with the discomforts of pregnancy including low back pain, edema, heartburn, nausea, fatigue.
