Today is the Family Pantry Program at Starting Smart. We will start at 11 am. We are making cherry jam today. Yummy!!

Next Wednesday, August 19th, we will have another session of Family Pantry. We will be making CHERRY JAM! We got a huge donation of cherries.
I will have a healthy snack available.
Start at 11am at the Grace Lynn Family Centre.

This Thursday at Starting Smart we will be talking about tests in pregnancy. What are the various tests and when/why are they done?
Our lunch will be Grilled chicken and Greek salad. Yummy!

STARTING SMART IS CANCELLED this Thursday, AUGUST 6th. We are doing some much needed cleaning and decluttering in our storage and office areas. We will be back at it on AUGUST 13th and will be talking about tests in pregnancy.

Large recipe of Salmon Pesto Pasta Salad:
Cook 2 bags of rotitini noodles until still a bit firm (not soft). Rinse in cold water until cooled.
Stir in a jar and a half of pesto.
Open 3 jars of salmon and add this.
Stir and enjoy!
A great summer meal.

Today at Starting Smart we will make a small batch of apple sauce and water bath it so it is shelf stable for your kids.
Lunch is Salmon Pesto Pasta salad.
Group is from 10 to 3. Join us for good food and great company!

Fruit, veggies and granola bars for snacks.

OUTDOOR FUN DAY AT STARTING SMART is happening right now! Northwest Child Development Centre has cool activities. The public health nurses are here with cool give aways and information. LOGS has a table with lots of fabulous free kid's books. We have our swings and our outdoor toys, a Go Fish game with cute prizes, goodie bags for kids, and prizes for Moms to put their names in for. The food is fabulous! With beautiful cupcakes by Gloria Gorrell. Join us from now to 3 pm.
