When anxiety shows up, our first instinct is often to make it go away.
But sometimes the most helpful question isn't:
"How do I get rid of this?"
It's:
"What is my mind and body trying to tell me?"
Anxiety often comes with thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations that can feel overwhelming.
Learning to slow down and become curious about those experiences can help us respond differently.
The goal isn't to never feel anxious.
The goal is to develop tools that help you move through anxiety with greater understanding, self-compassion, and support.
Counselling can help you explore the thoughts, emotions, and nervous system responses that may be contributing to anxiety.
Elaine also incorporates somatic (body-based) practices such as grounding, EFT tapping, mindfulness, and breathwork to help regulate the nervous system and support emotional well-being.
