Roadwork!
That's a hot topic around here these days, isn't it??
We want to remind our patients that roadwork in our area is causing significant traffic delays on an ongoing basis. Some patients are reporting that it is taking as many as 30 minutes to get through the roadwork here in Hubbards, with even greater wait times if you're coming from Bridgewater on the 103 between exits 11 and 10, as well as going through the town of Mahone Bay.
The delays in Hubbards are expected to remain in place until fall, so unfortunately this isn't a one-day traffic tie-up. Mahone Bay is wrapping up the final touches on their construction project, however the shutdown/traffic lights on the 103 around Blockhouse are expected to remain in place for an undetermined amount of time.
Please allow yourself LOTS of extra time to make it to your appointment over the next few months - much more than you'd normally allow. We want to make sure that all of our wonderful patients are seen at their appointment times without having to unfairly shuffle other people's appointments around to accomodate. If you expect to be late, we do appreciate a phone call if possible - we are happy to make arrangements to work you into the schedule at a later time, or possibly look at rescheduling.
We know that this time of year is very frustrating with all the construction happening all at once, and we share your frustration. Hopefully the work will be completed ahead of schedule and we can get back to our regularly scheduled programming in our quiet little community!
