Our minds have a sneaky way of playing tricks on us, especially when we’re feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or uncertain.

Two of the most common cognitive distortions are Magnification (blowing mistakes out of proportion) and Minimization (shrinking our accomplishments or positive feedback until they feel meaningless).

When these two patterns work together, a single critique can feel like a catastrophe, while genuine praise gets brushed off instantly.

The good news? Simply noticing when your brain is turning up the volume on the negative and muting the positive is the first big step toward shifting your perspective.

Swipe through to see how this pattern shows up in daily life. 🔍✨

If you've been feeling stuck in the same old loops, trying to logic your way out of a problem using the very mindset that built it can feel exhausting.

True change happens when we shift how we process our thoughts and experiences. By combining talk therapy with clinical hypnotherapy, we can work together to help you understand your behaviors, take back control, and transform negative thoughts into personal growth.

Stuck in a loop with a negative thought? $\text{🧠}$When our minds get fixated, it’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking, "This thought is making me feel this way." But often, a lot of our suffering is self-imposed rather than driven purely by external events.Next time a difficult thought pops up while you're navigating your day, try asking yourself this one simple question:"How do I feel when I think this thought?"Shifting the narrative and taking personal responsibility brings the mind into conscious awareness, helping you break the fixation and take back control.Give it a try today and see where it takes you. If you're looking for extra support to reframe negative thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, I'm here to help. Reach out or book a session via the link in my bio.

Is your mind holding you to standards from decades ago? We’re often quick to offer compassion to others, but so hard on ourselves. Today, I’m thinking about the difference between self-forgiveness and self-compassion—and how sometimes, we just need to let things soften a little.

Acceptance is a journey, not a final destination. We often get confused and think it’s a "one and done" moment, but it is a process we revisit many times throughout our lives.

When we find ourselves slipping back into old patterns—or feeling that familiar pull of anxiety, anger, or frustration—it doesn't mean we have failed or lost our progress. It simply means our minds are returning to previous ways of thinking, and we have the opportunity to choose acceptance once more.

Ever feel like your anxiety is working overtime just to make sure everyone else is okay with you?

Often, the underlying engine driving that persistent worry isn't just "stress"—it's a deep-seated Acceptance Craving. When we constantly look outward to validate our inward worth, anxiety naturally takes root.

🔍 The Symptoms
Constantly seeking approval from others

Difficulty making decisions without external validation

An endless loop of needing reassurance

Living inauthentically just to fit in

🛑 The Core Fears
Fear of rejection or abandonment

Fear of being "found out" as inferior

Fear of being ordinary, unseen, or easily replaceable

These aren't just isolated habits; they are component behaviors like reassurance-seeking and approval-dependent self-worth that frequently fuel Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), social anxiety, and dependent presentations.

The shift begins with awareness. Recognizing that you are chasing external acceptance is the first step toward building an internal foundation that doesn't shake.
