October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and it is an important time to prioritize your health.

If you are aged 40 to 74 living in Muskoka, you can book a routine screening mammogram through the Ontario Breast Screening Program without needing a doctor's referral.

To qualify for self-referral, you should be between 40 and 74 years old, have no new breast symptoms, no personal history of breast cancer, and not have had a mammogram in the last 11 to 12 months.

You can book your appointment locally in Muskoka at one of the Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare hospital sites:
For the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital site, call 705-704-9425.
For the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital site in Bracebridge, call 705-645-3000.

Early detection saves lives. Take a moment this October to call and book your screening.
