New summer obsession 🍋

The Lemon Bar from Evergreen Coffee Lounge.

I wasn’t sure lemon and coffee belonged together… turns out they absolutely do. Vanilla latte + lemon curd cold foam = perfection.

Already my second one this week. 💛

A gentle reminder that sometimes self-care isn’t complicated. Sometimes it’s just finding something that makes your day a little brighter and letting yourself enjoy it.

Final Call !!!

🌿 Registration for Room to Bloom is closing soon! 🌿

In just a couple of weeks, a small group of us will gather each Thursday evening in a greenhouse surrounded by flowers, fresh air, and the gentle reminder that growth rarely happens all at once.

Room to Bloom is not your typical therapy group.

Over 10 weeks, we'll explore mental wellness, mindfulness, healthy relationships, self-compassion, and resilience through a blend of psychotherapy, nature, creativity, and community. Each week includes therapeutic discussion and activities, time spent outdoors, and the opportunity to create and take home your own floral arrangement.

If you've been feeling disconnected, burned out, stuck in survival mode, or simply craving more beauty, meaning, and connection in your life, this group was designed with you in mind.

🌸 Group begins June 18
🌸 Thursdays, 5:00–7:00 PM
🌸 Outdoor greenhouse setting near Ingersoll
🌸 Facilitated by Registered Psychotherapist Melanie Rodrigues

Spaces are intentionally limited to keep the group intimate and meaningful, and registration will be closing shortly.

Sometimes healing looks less like "fixing yourself" and more like planting yourself somewhere you can grow.

If you've been thinking about joining, now is the time.

Happy Pride Month 🌈

Pride is about more than celebration.

It’s about belonging, authenticity, courage, and being able to show up as yourself.

Everyone deserves to feel seen, valued, accepted, and supported exactly as they are. ❤️

There are some things in life we keep trying to mentally rewrite, undo, or make sense of long after they’ve already happened.

Sometimes part of healing is accepting reality for what it is, even when it hurts.

Not because you like it.Not because it feels fair. But because fighting reality can become exhausting too. 🤍

That’s the thing about shame.

It doesn’t just make you feel bad about what you did.
It makes you question who you are.

So you spend your life trying to outrun it.

You become the people pleaser.
The overachiever.
The perfectionist.
The one always trying to prove you’re good enough, useful enough, lovable enough.

And even when good things happen, shame has a way of talking you out of them.

“They don’t really know me.”
“I just got lucky.”
“Eventually they’ll figure it out.”

But when something goes wrong?
Shame treats it like evidence.
Proof that the fear was true all along.

The hard part is that shame usually starts as a survival strategy.

At some point, your brain learned it was safer to believe “something is wrong with me” than to face the pain of not getting the love, safety, understanding, or care you needed.

Because if you were the problem, maybe you could fix it.
Try harder.
Be easier.
Need less.
Earn love.

That is how shame survives.
By convincing you your worth is something you must constantly prove.

But shame is learned.
Which means it can also be unlearned.

Not through more proving.
Not through becoming perfect.
But through compassion, awareness, and slowly realizing that the younger version of you who carried this belief was never broken to begin with. 🤍

Sometimes people come into therapy already understanding their story.

They can explain the patterns.
They know where it comes from.
They’ve talked about it before.

But they still feel stuck…

“I know why I feel this way… but I still feel stuck.” And honestly? That makes sense. Because not all experiences are stored in words. Some are stored deeper in the nervous system and the body.

Brainspotting is a gentle, focused therapy approach that helps access and process experiences that can feel difficult to fully reach through talking alone. People often describe it as helping them process things they could explain logically… but still felt emotionally “stuck” in.

You do not need to “perform” in Brainspotting.

You do not need the perfect words.

And you do not have to relive every detail of painful experiences for healing to happen.

Sometimes healing begins by simply noticing what your mind and body have been holding onto for a long time.

Monday felt like the perfect day to talk about this one.

The “Almost” Loop
(opened it. didn’t do it.)

• replied in my head
• walked into the room and forgot why
• started 6 things
• waiting to “feel ready”
• overwhelmed before beginning
• thought about the task all day instead of starting it
• “I’ll do it in a minute” … 4 hours ago

Sometimes the hardest part isn’t the task. It’s starting.

ADHD and executive dysfunction can feel invisible to everyone else while feeling exhausting internally.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms, mother figures, caregivers, and nurturers out there today💛

To the moms in the thick of it, the ones carrying so much quietly, the ones missing their moms, longing to become one, healing, surviving, or simply doing their best day by day… I hope today holds a little softness and care for you too.

You are seen, appreciated, and deeply valued.
