Navigating Change, Growth, and a Beautifully Overwhelming Season
I know it’s been a little inconvenient for some that we’ve shifted our operating hours to “by appointment only.” I want you to know this wasn’t a decision made lightly — it came from a full year of learning how our little shop in Irvine truly operates.
Outside of events and appointments, we simply don’t see a lot of walk‑in traffic out here. And with everything happening behind the scenes — the growth, the opportunities, the new partnerships, the markets, the retreats, the product expansion — we needed to make space to keep up with it all without burning out.
This season has been overflowing with good things. Big things. Future‑shaping things. And while it’s beautifully overwhelming, it’s also a sign that our business is growing in ways we never imagined.
Natural Products: Growing Faster Than the Garden Itself
Between harvesting herbs from the garden, blending new batches of herbal infused oils, and keeping up with demand for our natural skincare, teas, and creating our new herbal coffee blends… it’s been a full‑on sprint. A joyful one, but a sprint nonetheless.
A New Coffee Shop Featuring Our Teas & Herbal Coffee Blends
One of the biggest blessings this month has been preparing for the grand opening in Redcliff of Outta My Mind: Creatives & Cafe on November 3rd. These incredible local ladies are building something truly special — a Creatives Space and Café that will feature handmade goods from local artisans… and yes, our teas and herbal coffee blends will be on the menu.
I’ve been building my product display for their shop, preparing the Donna Insko Handmade Beaded Jewelry Legacy Bridal Collection, coordinating our inventory, and cheering them on as they get ready to open their doors to the community.
Markets, Markets, Markets
Tomorrow I’m hosting a market at New Horizons Hall from 11am to 3pm.
Next month, another one.
And behind the scenes, I’m planning future markets in new Cypress County locations so more artisans can connect with more customers. It’s a lot — but it’s also exactly what I’ve dreamed of building.
Newsletter, Website, and a New Online Marketplace
Somehow, in the middle of all this, the newsletter still gets written.
The website is being built to bring our artisan products online.
And the biggest project of all — designing an online marketplace where handmade vendors can gather in one place to expand their reach — is officially underway.
Ladies Retreats: A Growing Success Story
One of the brightest parts of this year has been our Ladies Day Retreats. What started as a single community offering has blossomed into something truly special — a space where women can breathe, connect, reset, and enjoy a day crafted just for them.
The Fall Into Routine retreat was a beautiful success, filled with meditation, stretching, a surprise workshop, a bellydance performance, cozy meals, crafts, spa moments, and some real, genuine women’s bonding. Every retreat reminds me how deeply needed these spaces are — and how much joy they bring.
And now, the dream is growing.
We’re already looking ahead to offering these retreats in more communities across Cypress County, creating opportunities for women in multiple places to experience a day of rest, creativity, and connection. The Winter Warriors Ladies Day Retreat in Irvine is coming up on January 30, 2027 — and it’s shaping up to be another unforgettable day.
Growing Irvine’s Christmas in the Community
Last year Marina and I hosted our first Annual Community Christmas Dinner, and it was such a heartwarming success that it sparked a bigger dream.
This year, we’re hoping to grow Irvine’s Christmas in the Community into a full weekend celebration — a super cool lineup of events that brings families, neighbors, artisans, and local businesses together in the spirit of the season.
From festive markets to a Santa Clause parade, community gatherings to cozy holiday moments, the vision is to build something magical that grows year after year.
So Yes… I’m Overwhelmed
But I’m also grateful.
Hopeful.
Excited.
And deeply aware that this season of “too much” is actually a season of becoming.
Our little business is growing.
Our community of friends and partnerships surrounding it is growing.
And the opportunities unfolding right now feel like the start of something truly beautiful.
If you’ve been cheering us on, supporting our makers, sipping our teas, attending retreats, or showing up at markets — thank you. You’re part of this momentum, and I can’t wait to share what blooms next.
