🚨Extreme Conditions Call for Extreme Caution🚨

This is not the time to take chances.

Campfire bans are in effect, and residents are asked to do their part to help prevent human-caused wildfires.

✅ Stay out of the backcountry unless absolutely necessary
✅ Keep vehicles off dry grass and brush
✅ Be mindful of hot exhaust systems and equipment
✅ Avoid activities that create heat, sparks, or flames
✅ Follow all fire restrictions and closures

One spark is all it takes. Protect our community, our neighbours, and the people working tirelessly to respond to wildfire activity.

Do your part. Stay vigilant. Help keep Kamloops safe. 🔥

What to expect:
▪️ Single-lane closure on Lansdowne Street outside of peak times
▪️ Sidewalk closure in the work area
▪️ Minimal loss of street parking
▪️ Traffic control persons on site to assist pedestrians and maintain access to local businesses

👉 Paving is currently scheduled for August 17.
