May 24 is Early Psychosis and Schizophrenia Awareness Day.

Today is an opportunity to build understanding, challenge stigma, and show support for people living with early psychosis or schizophrenia — and for the families, friends, caregivers, and communities who walk alongside them.

Psychosis and schizophrenia are often misunderstood. Awareness helps create space for compassion, early support, treatment, recovery, and hope.

People living with schizophrenia and early psychosis are more than a diagnosis, and with the right support, recovery and meaningful quality of life are possible.

During National Volunteer Week, we’ve been thinking about the small moments that don’t always get noticed but mean everything here at the clubhouse.

Like the volunteer who remembers how someone takes their coffee. The one who sits a little longer when a conversation needs it. The ones who quietly set things up, clean things up, and make sure no one feels out of place walking through the door.

That kind of care doesn’t show up in reports, but it shapes this space every day.

To our volunteers: what you do matters in ways that are hard to measure, but easy to feel. Thank you for being part of what makes the clubhouse what it is.
