🌎World Mental Health Day | October 10

Lived experiences heard: real voices, real change.

This year’s theme reminds us of the importance of listening to people with lived experience and recognizing the valuable knowledge they bring. It’s about more than listening. It’s about making sure their voices help shape the services, supports and decisions that affect their lives.

Grateful for this group who participated in Mental Health First Aid today! 💚

Folks from Active Care Youth & Adult Services, A New Tomorrow Treatment Solutions Ltd, A Way Home Kamloops, and Kamloops Immigrant Services came together for a day of learning, sharing, and building practical skills and confidence to support mental health.

Thank you for being part of the conversation and for the work you do every day to support others.

Changing the Narrative on Su***de🎗️

2026 marks the final year of this three year global campaign, with a focus on changing how we talk about and understand su***de by moving away from silence, shame and misunderstanding.

Start the Conversation. Open, honest and compassionate conversations can help break down barriers and create more supportive environments where people feel safe to reach out, ask for help, and support one another.

These conversations matter not just this month, but all year long.

Let’s keep talking. 💛
