Happy Wilderness Wednesday, folks! Just a quick reminder to take that deep breath in and out... 🏔️✨
Today, the mountain gave me a lot of external information. With all the recent snowfall making the higher peaks unsafe, my original plan had to change. But instead of forcing it, I chose to look inward.
That is what introspection is all about—matching the information on the outside with what is happening on the inside to find where safety actually lives.
Your body is constantly doing this math using two internal systems:
-The Go-Network that gives you the drive to push forward.
-The Slow-Down Network that steps in to protect you and keep you steady.
These two networks aren't fighting each other; they work together to help you process your environment. When you turn inward and listen to them, you learn how to create true internal safety and honor your boundaries—whether that means climbing higher or choosing to find a beautiful valley instead.
True strength isn't about blindly pushing through the snow; it’s about knowing how to regulate your system so you can make a safe choice.
I hope you all get a chance to step outside today, turn inward to find your own safety, honor your boundaries, and just enjoy nature.
How are your internal networks feeling today?
