A BOTOX MISTAKE | For the most balanced results, I often treat both the elevator and depressor muscles of the forehead. However, not every forehead should be treated the same way. If you have heavy lids or lid laxity, relaxing the frontalis too much can create more pressure and heaviness through the brows. In those cases, we may treat the upper forehead very lightly or leave it untreated for one session and see how you respond.

Neuromodulator treatments should be individualized. That’s why every treatment with me begins with a consultation. YOUR MASSETERS MIGHT BE TELLING ON YOU | If I see or feel them bulging when you talk or clench, I’m probably asking about headaches and teeth grinding next. Botox (neuromodulators) helps turn down the strength of those overachieving muscles, which can mean less clenching, tension and discomfort for the right patient.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I GET LIP FILLER? | I'm not sure I could blanket statement an answer. While the general guideline for "how long lip filler lasts" is six months, it varies drastically for each patient. For some patients, they are working on building their lip filler so come more frequently. For others they see me every couple years just for some hydration and maintenance of shape. For this patient, we scheduled a maintenance visit 10 months after her initial injections. Using half a syringe (0.6 mL) of Revanesse Kiss+, we placed a small amount to define the cupid's bow before using the rest to balance out the lower lip with some more volume. I've been doing this for over a decade and have yet to run into the same lips and treatment plan twice. If you're curious about what will work best for you and your lips, book your consultation at one of my six clinics across Kelowna, Kamloops and Sicamous.

“IS HRT NOW FREE IN BC?” | For many covered options, yes! As of March 1, 2026, Plan NP provides 100% coverage for select menopausal hormone therapy medications for BC residents enrolled in MSP—with no Special Authority required.
As research and our understanding of menopause care have evolved, HRT (hormone replacement therapy) is now more commonly called MHT (menopausal hormone therapy)—a term that better reflects treating specific menopause symptoms rather than simply “replacing” hormones. If hot flashes, brain fog or sleep changes are affecting your day-to-day life, this change could make treatment more accessible. I’ve created a dedicated page to guide you through what’s covered and how to make the most of your coverage. Comment MRT and I'll send it to you directly!

THE TRUTH ABOUT LAB TESTING | Standard blood work? Big fan. Cholesterol, thyroid, vitamin D, ferritin and iron, kidney and liver function can all provide useful information. Where do I get skeptical? Expensive testing that produces pages of impressive-looking data but does not meaningfully change the treatment plan. If the results won’t change what we do next…what are we doing here?

CUPID'S BOW, CLEANED UP | This patient already had naturally gorgeous lips, but was hoping to achieve bit more of a defined cupid's bow. We used half a syringe (0.6 mL) of Revanesse Kiss+ to add definition while keeping her naturally beautiful shape. I've said it before and I'll say it a million times over, lip filler doesn't need to look fake. Proper assessment, placement and an injector that says no to treatments that aren't in your best interest is the key to undetectable results.

WHY ARE THERE SO MANY REVANESSE® FILLERS? | You may feel like you just figured out the different uses of botox and filler and now I’m throwing different types of filler at you 😂 Think of this as a little behind-the-scenes look at how I choose the right product for your treatment. You don’t need to remember it all—that part is my job.
