Supporting the Transition from Teen to Adulthood:
The 3rd Annual Nicholas' Run for Youth Mental Health is scheduled for
Saturday, November 1st, 2025, at Pioneer Park in Downtown Kamloops. This event aims to raise awareness about youth mental health and su***de prevention. We are seeking sponsors to help fund mental health awareness initiatives in Kamloops and the surrounding areas. Youth mental
health is continually evolving and requires reliable monitoring to ensure adequate social and economic resources are allocated. We have identified a significant gap in available support during the critical transition between the “school-age” years and “adulthood.” Our mission is to provide help,
assistance, and resources to youth aged 12 to 24, as well as to their friends and families who support them. We believe a community-based care approach is essential to enhancing the well-being of youth in need. The Nicholas Zhou Legacy Fund was established in 2022 in memory of Nicholas Zhou, who struggled with depression and passed away at age 19. Over the past two years, we have raised $32,127 for the fund through the Interior Community Foundation. Earlier this year, $10,000 from this fund was donated to FOUNDRY BC, a new youth mental health initiative supported by Interior Community Services (ICS), which will open its doors in downtown Kamloops in 2026. 100% of the funds raised will stay within our community. If your business or organization is interested in making a contribution - whether monetary or through charitable gifts for door prizes - to support this important initiative and create positive change within our community, please contact us at [email protected] or [email protected]. Tax receipts will be issued by the Interior Community Foundation of BC. Thank you in advance for your generosity and support! Lisa Imeson & Rie Takahashi
